Been here?
A rocky, uneven lay-by near the top of Pendle Nick, with parking that can be reasonably level for smaller vans. It offers excellent sunset and hill views, with a gentle 3 mile walk to Pendle Hill trig point and a war grave across the road. The nearby road can be busy until midnight. Local cars, racers and loud music may disturb evenings.

Reasonably flat parking and good views for sunset. There were already 4 or 5 vans parked up at 21:00 on a Saturday in July but did not feel too "crowded". Alongside quite a busy road till at least midnight - perhaps traffic to/from the restaurant. A racer and somebody with a loud subwoofer turned up in the middle of the night for about 30 minutes. Quiet in the morning so we slept in.
A nice park up so far it is fairly rocky and uneven but have managed to get our boxer l3 parked level enough only our van parked up mind you it is late October I would guess it would be busy in summer
Very nice space just off the top of Pendle Nick. Busy with local kids in cars until about 22.30 but ok after. Some of the best views you will find in uk and across the road from a war grave to lost airmen. Same for 3 mile gentle walk up to Pendle Hill trig point. Well reccomended. Awesome sky views too, it was a great orange full moon.
this is a very beautiful place. the view up there is amazing. from there you could do some nice short hiking trips. it seem to me that many local people turn up here in the evening to walk their dogs or watch the stunning sunset, but they leave as soon it gets dark. the parking lot condition is pretty rough. also the noise of the traffic could bother a bit.
great spot. you do get some cars parking up at night like most nice places with a view but no bother from anyone.
