A simple, flat hiking-departure parking area in a quiet location on the road between Munich and Garmish Partenkirshen. It is suitable for an overnight stay, with little pedestrian activity and a quieter road at night. The road is busy during the day. There are many mosquitoes and horseflies, so insect protection is important.

We arrived at 6 p.m. and stayed until 8 a.m. the next morning. During that time, only two walkers passed by. The road also becomes quieter at night. The only minor drawbacks are mosquitoes, and if you are a little paranoid, the parking area is not for you. You are in the middle of four paths and therefore completely exposed.
Good place to stay. Quiet enough.
Good parking place for overnight stays and breaks. The road is busy during the day but really quiet at night. Just an incredible number of mosquitoes and horseflies; without insect protection it is not pleasant.
