An ample parking area in front of the Chlumec castle-museum, with Lidl and a service station opposite. It is convenient for a stopover on the Poland–Prague route, 80km away. Overnight parking appears acceptable, but traffic becomes noticeable from the morning and can be heavy.

As others have described. When we were there, the police even came to the parking area once but did not speak to us. Two more police cars drove by afterward. It seems perfectly fine to stay overnight there. Traffic becomes noticeable at some point in the morning.
Lovely place, great for spending the night while travelling through. Conveniently, there is a LIDL opposite. Lots of heavy traffic early in the morning!
