Stones Bank Road, BL7 8BL, Bolton
Been here?
A lay-by off the A666 used by campers, converted vans and truckers. Cars pass at speed alongside, with sporadic traffic from fairly early and considerable nocturnal movement associated with cruising. Overnight visitors have reported unsolicited approaches at vehicle windows, so some have left to find another place.

This is apparently a well known cruising layby. There's a fair bit of nocturnal movement here but if you batten the hatches down it's fine. Although it's off the main A666 road, cars still pass at speed alongside so from fairly early you'll be dealing with that sporadically.
Wondered why there were a few empty lay-bys on this road and a few cars passing at night... Found out at 03.25 by a guy knocking on my window asking if I wanted some business, No!!! 3 minutes later another car and another knock.. Left to fund somewhere else to park.
Quite adequate, although cars and trucks really fly past. 2 bars of 4G on Three.Translating
