Been here?
This is a free 24hour parking area beside the sea and a small harbour, with attractive water and bridge views. Overnight stays are limited to 24h and there are no services. It is convenient before a morning ferry to Tallinn, about 25 mins from the terminal, and public transport reaches the city. The area is often calm, although nearby restaurant events can cause noise until about 1h.

Nice little free parking area. Maximum 24 hours. No services.
I had to search a bit to find this beautiful place for the night before our ferry crossing. But it was worth it. The walk to Kauppatori is about 5 km, but it goes over attractive bridges and through a park. You also pass another parking area, but it does not compare with this one. And that is despite there being no toilet, no bin, and some construction noise.
Great location, good views. We slept twice here (very convenient before taking a morning ferry to Tallinn, 25 mins to the terminal), it was calm. Nice neighbourhood for an evening walk.
Very good place for the night. Great view of the new pedestrian bridge and the water. The adjacent casino is a restaurant and closes at 9 p.m.; then it is quiet and there are hardly any other cars.
Perfect spot for a night.
The location and view are perfect. The metro is a 10-minute walk away. Lines M1 and M2 take you everywhere in the city. The only problem is the 24-hour limit. To get around it, you have to move the camper every day. Inspectors determine whether you have exceeded 24 hours by photographing the tires. Also, legally, sleeping overnight in a caravan is forbidden in Finland. You should not put out tables or chairs.
We spent two nights in this parking area, 30 minutes from the city center by metro. Very beautiful sea view. The first night was very quiet, but on the second night we had noise until late, around 1 a.m., because there was a party at the restaurant right next door.
Beautiful and quiet place with a view of the water. The casino was closed, so there were fewer people around.
Very beautiful place to stay. View of the water and bridge. We had a very quiet night, and the city is 20 minutes away.
The place is really great for spending one or two nights and visiting Helsinki. It is free, with no services, but only a five-minute walk from the bus to the city center and 15 minutes from the metro. The place is fairly quiet, at least in September, although there are some walkers. I spent two nights here and highly recommend it.
Very noisy parties in the casino all night even in the middle of the week. Peoples and cars going back and forth. Better to go somewhere else.
Good, free spot close to the city. We had a quiet night here.
We were in this parking lot in summer and we really had a pleasant stay, it wasn't very quiet but we felt safe and nobody bothered us. We really enjoyed the view and we easily got a place for our 23 feet long motorhome although the parking lot isn't very big, it was flat and paved but unfortunately completely sunny. It was completely free. Nearby there is also a small park.
Nice parking area. Weddings sometimes take place at the casino on weekends. Then the parking area is quite full of guests' cars. Most parking spaces are somewhat sloped.
Great spot by the harbor and park on the outskirts of the city. Chinese fishermen come in the evenings. There is nothing happening at the casino. We stayed here Friday night and drove back into the city on Saturday—on Saturdays you can park free in many places downtown.
Great place. Fantastic view.
Top parking area; 15 minutes by bicycle to the city.
Great parking spot and people dont check if youre there longer for 24 hours
It was perfect for visiting the city, 15 minutes by bicycle to the center. Easy route. For us it was absolutely quiet at night, but it was during the week.
Very, very noisy. There is an event-style casino that hosts weddings and events. All night people shout and sing. They leave their cars running. Impossible to sleep until 5 a.m. Then, around 7 a.m., more cars arrive, along with walkers and athletes. Avoid it; this is not a quiet parking area. It may only be like this on weekends.
Free parking, excellent night, Véro and Michel06! Unfortunately, no services and no noise at night.
Beautiful place by the water. All the spaces at the zoo were packed; hardly any cars were parked here. The advantage is that you can stay for 24 hours, and it is also suitable for larger motorhomes. We then drove comfortably into the city on electric scooters. The downside is that there is continual activity in the parking area and on the water, even at night. I think it is a matter of luck whether you get a quiet time or not. Good for Helsinki.
