115 Ilsenburger Straße, 38667, Bad Harzburg
Been here?
A quiet, rural campsite run as a self-directed camping club, with large green terraced pitches and very clean sanitary facilities. Bad Harzburg is within walking distance, while the surrounding area offers hiking, cycling and other activities. Road noise and horse smells can be noticeable, and some pitches are uneven. Reception accepts cash only, and Euro coins are needed for the washing machines.

Pros: cleanest sanitary facilities and best cassette disposal. Large green pitches, terraced. Pleasant atmosphere. Cons: traffic noise from the road, difficult for light sleepers. Smell of horse manure.
Very quiet place with exceptionally clean sanitary facilities. Very friendly welcome; leaving one day earlier than booked was no problem at all. Somewhat off the beaten track, but no problem by bicycle. Ideal for anyone who loves peace and quiet. We clearly recommend it!
Idyllic location, clean sanitary area. Unfortunately, cash only. Motorhomes can dispose of gray water only with buckets. During our stay, reception was staffed only from 3 to 7 p.m. Some pitches are very uneven.
Quite a sprawling site, at least 80% of which is occupied by seasonal campers, with about half of those pitches looking abandoned and neglected. We were placed at the beginning of the site, where a car passed about every five minutes. It also smelled strongly of horse manure from the adjacent riding stable, which looked rather run-down. Electricity connection was a disaster. Sanitary building very good. Quiet at night.
“Where campers become friends”—and that is exactly how it is here! Everyone is incredibly warm and friendly, so you feel welcome immediately. We stayed for five nights and really enjoyed it. Even without a long power cable, we were immediately helped with a cable reel. You rarely experience such helpfulness.
Quiet and has everything you need.
In the off-season, the pitches are quite muddy. The pitch size is suitable for vehicles up to 7 meters long, with at least that much width as well. The sanitary facilities are in a modern and, above all, clean condition.
Rustic and very natural campsite. Sanitary facilities clean and adequate for the price. Electricity is charged at a flat rate of €4, which led people to do whatever they wanted with the power strips. Unfortunately, during our stay the campsite association's Oktoberfest, with external guests, took place directly in front of the sanitary buildings.
Pleasant, quiet place in the countryside. Modern, clean, and sufficiently spacious sanitary facilities, friendly welcome—what more could you want? We felt very comfortable.
Very quiet and basic site. Restaurant at the hotel nearby. Great stay for one night and lots to do if you stay longer.
Nice enough campground but why were we put in a really tight space with our large camper, when there were plenty of vacant spaces elsewhere?? Only one sink with cold water in ladies room. Not enough hot water in the mens shower - at the end of a very short shower the water was cold! Better to charge for the shower and then get a hot shower. We probably won’t be back
Great place, unfortunately somewhat remote; to walk into town you always have to cross the Butterberg. The sanitary facilities are among the best I have seen this year. Very good. One star deducted because I had asked in advance when booking about New Year's Eve and fireworks. I was told fireworks were not allowed on the site and that the town was far away. However, there were extremely loud fireworks in the immediate vicinity. Had I known, I would not have chosen this place because of our dog.
Very nice and quiet campsite. We received a friendly welcome, and the toilets and showers are very clean.
Friendly welcome and pitch. Despite the summer holidays and weekend, many pitches were free. The pitches are well maintained and clean; toilets and showers are okay. The view over the nearby fields at sunset is also recommended. Bad Harzburg is about 3 km away on foot. Two nights in a rooftop tent for one adult and one child without electricity cost just under €45. We will gladly return :)
