2 Brugata, 9800, Vadsø
Been here?
A free motorhome area facing the port, generally suitable for one quiet night, with a maximum stay of 24 hours. Greywater and toilet emptying are available directly on site, and recent visitors found the service convenient and free. Freshwater is also available, although its suitability for drinking is uncertain. A nature reserve and walking trails are directly nearby.

Exemplary place. Gray-water disposal, cassette-toilet emptying, and fresh-water filling—all directly on site, straightforward and free to use. Many thanks to the town of Vadsø for this excellent service! Thank you for the hospitality.
Over the past few days in the region, we used the disposal facilities twice, both times without any problems. However, we filled up with water at the parking lot by the library. I am not sure whether someone might be using the fresh-water tap for the chemical toilet.
Quiet, with a large park next to it, perfect for walking the dog.
Very well-designed and completely free service area. Thank you to the municipality!
Good area with all services; we only stopped to use the facilities on the way to Vardø.
Yesterday we preferred to move to the other parking lot below because it was quieter and had more space. Vehicles were constantly arriving here to fill up and empty their tanks. However, the service area is very good.
Excellent free place to stay for one night. Fill up with water, empty tanks, and clean the toilet. You can immediately walk into the nature reserve. If it is full, you can also park on the other side of the bridge.
Many thanks to the municipality for providing this free parking option. The service station works perfectly. We spent a quiet night here. The location is great, with the nature reserve and beautiful hiking trails right next to it. Since it is a public parking lot, cars also park here, so there is a constant coming and going.
Nice place, but three passenger cars are parked with suitable gaps between them and occupy three camper spaces. There was therefore no room for us.
A free pitch with a beautiful view. The disposal facilities work very well. I did not take drinking water here. The tap is directly on the chemical-toilet disposal column. I think some people use the tap to rinse their cassettes. I also did not see any indication that the water was potable. Thanks to the municipality for this overnight option.
Magnificent view of the harbor, with a bird paradise right next to it and historic foundations documenting the town’s history. Water and waste services and the pitch are free. Many thanks to the town of Vadsø.
Thank you to the municipality for installing this lovely site. It has everything: quiet, water (May 21), disposal, and a clean surface. In addition, there is a beautiful view and a huge area for walking, including, of course, birdwatching for enthusiasts. The village is also very beautiful. Shops are less than 500 m away. There are docks for large fishing boats, making fishing easy. A lovely stopover.
A nice, flat concrete area with facilities for emptying gray and black water. Great! Fresh water is not running at this time of year. An all-around functional parking area, exactly as described. The potable water is not running yet in May!
As of October 23, the water is shut off, but we were able to empty the gray and black water.
Still open in October too, nice service stop.
Super overnight stop with a great service point. Great for visiting the town—there is a lovely café in town.
Thanks to the municipality for providing such excellent facilities.
We did not sleep there, but just on the other side of the bridge. It is a lovely paved location with a nice view of the port, town, and bay. Impeccable services. Thanks to the municipality for these facilities; recommended.
Great station for sanitary services and fresh water. Thanks to the municipality. We did not like the place for overnight stays as much, although everything is well asphalted.
Great stop for using the services and spending one night.
Gray- and black-water disposal. Water point. All free. One star deducted because there is no water hose; you can find one at the site just before. Service station and supermarket right next door. Pretty port town.
The isolated mast visible on the island toward the sea was used to moor airships in the 1920s. It was used for the expedition to the North Pole.
Excellent spot for 24 hours, with water and waste services and bins. Perfect for the night.
Perfect for the services and for the night. Beautiful view.
Top area! Very beautiful view, water and waste services, all free, just a short distance from the protected area, which also offers a lovely walk. Thanks to the municipality and the residents of Vadsø.
Amazing facilities and great views. Nice walking with the dog as well.
Potable water on the other side of the bridge. Free gray-water disposal in the parking lot. Quiet and central. Recommended.
Fresh water, with a very good flow, free of charge—thank you! Start of a short walking loop.
Everything works without any problems, and there is also a bin.
Very nice, free place with good disposal facilities, although they are heavily used.
All services work well and are free.
Free seaside area with water and waste services, without electricity. Parking on fairly level asphalt. Located on the small island opposite Vadsø. We stayed two nights. Ideal for visiting the Varanger Peninsula. Quiet nights, no noise. Recommended.
There were eight motorhomes here today. We did the signposted 1.8 km nature and information walk around Vadsø. The water and waste services worked perfectly.
Today, emptying the chemical toilet is still clogged. Filling with water and draining wastewater went well. A few meters before the access bridge, there is a large area by the sea where many vans and motorhomes are parked, and we will spend the night there.
Emptying the chemical toilet is currently impossible. Some camper has blocked it. Two days ago everything was still working. Gray water and drinking water are available.
