Only five spaces, two of which are permanently occupied by a guy who apparently lives there with a car and caravan... all spaces were occupied. The place really does not look inviting.
Close to the town, shops, train station, tram and bus. Next to a large car park and sometimes noisy. Car doors and a few young people talking loudly this weekend. A good place to visit the surroundings by scooter: the mills of Zaandijk, Landsmeer, Monnickendam, Edam, Purmerend, De Rijp and Wormer. And also Amsterdam by train.
In the middle of town, beside a railway station and a very busy road. In the evening, noisy young people walk across the site. Electricity and space rental cost €12 plus €0.50 per kWh through this website; registration is required. Select the town and book beforehand. Water is shut off from November to March.
One of the few places in the region for black- and grey-water disposal in winter. There was no free space, so I did not park there, only used the sanitary facilities.
Enough space to park and maneuver, with five spaces and no problems. Indeed, one person is regularly there, but he is friendly. However, watch your bicycles: at 2:30 a.m. we got up in a panic because two young men were trying to steal our bikes from the bike rack. So it was not a quiet night and we slept badly.
A peculiar character lives in the area. Apart from the bad impression he creates, he does not seem dangerous. Quiet night. To use the services only, you must register in the app, reserve a space, use all the services and stop the reservation. You will not be charged for the space because 24 hours have not elapsed. You will only be charged for the water you use.
Suitable for emptying grey and black water. To stay overnight, use electricity or fill up with water, you have to call a phone number and register. It proved very complicated and we could not do it. We left without filling up with water.
We did not sleep there because it was too close to the road and railway line. However, it is convenient for parking and visiting the Zaanse Schans windmills, reachable by bus or in 10 minutes by bicycle. You can also use the facilities without staying; we were able to empty and clean the toilet cassette. The phone numbers provided came up as unassigned for us.
A filthy mess, disgracefully dirty.
Extremely dirty site beside a noisy road. The toilet disposal basin is blocked. People live permanently on the site, so there is never any space. The site's rubbish bin is emptied only once a week, so at night it is swarming with rats. On top of that, it is incredibly expensive. Avoid it! Find a proper campsite; you will be better off there!
It is okay for a single night! It is beside the road and near the train station, but everything looks fairly clean to me…
Dirty, filthy camper site, with toilet paper, cigarette butts and dog mess everywhere. But it is the only camper site in Zaanstad with all facilities, which are very outdated and poorly maintained. Traffic noise is not too bad; at night it is fairly quiet.
I was glad to have found a legal overnight spot at all, so thanks to the municipality for that. We did not use the facilities except the rubbish bin. Countless speeders on the road at night, while the railway and planes also create quite a lot of noise. Nevertheless, I thought €12 was okay for an overnight place.
I agree with all the previous reviews: what a noisy place, what a filthy mess, and no water to fill up. Scandalously expensive for something this poor.
Terribly dirty camper site. The chemical-toilet disposal point is full and excrement is floating in the basin. Welcome to Zaanstad.
It looks very neglected. There is clearly no monitoring of the service station, because the black-water disposal has been blocked for at least two months. There is no phone number to report it.
No water, no electricity, everything dirty, don't come here.
Very noisy; the cars make a lot of noise on the main road right next to it. At six in the morning, many cars start arriving at the adjacent parking lot. You cannot use the facilities unless you stay overnight.
Very small parking area, with only four spaces. The app allows you to pay for parking and electricity based on consumption. Bring bicycles to visit the mills.
Functional site. Since we are self-sufficient, we need neither water nor electricity. Booking is somewhat complicated. The sign says to call, but after registering you can also book online. Somewhat noisy due to road and air traffic. Completely fine for one night. Unfortunately, there were broken pieces of glass on the site and the bin was full. Toilet disposal is available and in okay condition.
