We drove around a little to find this service area. There are no signs indicating its location. The person who reported the area placed it slightly away from the suggested coordinates. It is hidden behind very tall hedges and could be confused with a car park that looks like a service area in satellite photos.Translating
Wonderful: free drinking water with a threaded tap, rubbish containers, grey- and black-water disposal, a wide entrance and space to maneuver. And it is municipal. Many thanks to the municipality! ☺️Translating
Good area. A little hidden. We did not see any signage. It is next to a campsite. Perfect place to visit the city.Translating
Spacious pitches. Quiet area, free services. €7.50 for 24 hours. Thank you to the town of Rochefort for remaining municipal and not becoming a Camping-Car Park site.Translating
Quiet place, with shops within walking distance. The pitches are large. Thank you to the town of Rochefort; I highly recommend it.Translating
Good motorhome site with facilities for emptying the toilet, taking on fresh water and disposing of grey water. Everything for €7.50. Quiet location, large pitches and no noise disturbance. Rochefort is a 15-minute walk away via the Charente.Translating
Actually a good site, but the constant barking from neighboring dogs is annoying.Translating
Ideal and exemplary area. Well located, paved, clean and with services, just steps from the center for sightseeing and the magnificent Saturday market. We come several times a year and it is always a delight. We hope the town ignores Camping-Car Park's appeals. And thank you to the town for welcoming us here.Translating
Impossible to sleep properly because of a dog and noisy neighbors who cannot tolerate alcohol. Bad experience.Translating
Affordable and convenient area, close to the riverside promenade, which is pleasant for reaching the center, especially by bicycle. Downsides: lots of dog mess and, above all, people arguing at night—probably locals rather than passing motorhome travelers. A barrier at the entrance could be useful.Translating
The aire is okay, but unfortunately some travelers arrived, did not pay and then played loud music. They also put out tables and chairs and let their dog roam free. Four other motorhomes and we left. As a suggestion, use the free services and then spend the night in the parking area about 300 m away.Translating
Fine for spending one night!Translating
A well-located aire for visiting Rochefort. Despite another increase this year, it remains twice as cheap as Camping-Car Park aires for a similar service, excluding electricity.Translating
Ten years after my first visit to this site, the parking has become 100% paid, whereas it used to be free.Translating
On Friday evening there were cars on the site, so few spaces and few people paying the €8.10 fee—except us! What a shame. Otherwise, very pleasant!Translating
We thank the municipality of Rochefort for this very pleasant aire, 15 minutes on foot from the museums. We had a very good stay.Translating
Excellent spot near the Charente path and a bus stop. Set back from the road and behind a very dense hedge, so it is private. Quite spacious. Services include drinking water, grey- and black-water disposal, and rubbish bins, including recycling.Translating
Spacious motorhome pitches within walking distance (2 km) of the center. You can discharge black water after all (an error in the introduction)! Waste containers and yellow bins are behind the containers. The glass recycling bin is just outside the motorhome site on the roadside. Nice cycle path along the Charente to the city and/or the Pont Transbordeur du Martrou. Some traffic noise at night and no shaded pitches.Translating
Perfect for being close to the town center; relatively quiet, with everything needed for waste disposal and plenty of water.Translating
Good parking, €7.50 for 24 hours. Good service area, everything working without problems. Spacious places. Quite a few long-term residents, but they are not bothersome and contribute to the security of the place. No electricity or entrance barrier. Little noise after 8 p.m.Translating
Quiet parking near the center of Rochefort. Waste disposal and water. Thank you to the municipality.
Perfect for a short stop, with free water filling and waste disposal.
Having to pay while listening to the neighbor's generator parked next to us should be prohibited. Nobody enforces the rules, but they do collect payment. A shame, because the night was very peaceful.
My second time here. Very good for sleeping, except for some traffic around 6 a.m. It is a stopover for spa visitors, so you need a bit of luck to find a place, but it is possible. Good services.
Quiet night, plenty of space, bit of a walk to town but would recommend.
Useful little stop for visiting ROCHEFORT. Nothing more… for €7.50.
The close quarters with campervans parked tightly everywhere are dismal. I would have preferred a little more grass instead of asphalt, and fewer satellite dishes and televisions, not to mention! But it is much the same everywhere. The vehicles are hidden behind a hedge and the shops are nearby; that is something in a town. It is becoming very difficult to park peacefully in a green setting.
Beautiful sheltered spot. Easy payment at the machine. Waste disposal and drinking water available. The center is a 30-minute walk. It certainly looks nice and lively.
Nice area, but the town center is not great.
Good base for exploring the town. Paved area with easily accessible service facilities. €7.50 fee per day.
Parking area close to town, ideal for sightseeing. No shade. Lots of traffic during the day.
Good place for visiting the town. Quiet and with all facilities.
Very quiet and very good. Be careful with Google Maps, as it directs you to the street immediately behind it. The entrance is right in front of the roundabout with plants and is barely visible.
Area surrounded by trees, quiet, with fairly spacious pitches and complete free services. You can enjoy a lovely walk or bike ride along the Charente, from the Martrou transporter bridge to the Corderie Royale. Thank you to Rochefort for this place at a reasonable price of €7.50. Regular police patrols are reassuring; a shame about the dishonest people!
We spent one night, price €7.50. Facilities for filling and emptying gray water. Black water can be emptied into the fountain marked “non-potable water.” Very spacious pitches and a very quiet area. The only drawback is that there is not much to see in the town.
We spent one night; there is no electricity, but water and drainage are available. The area is very quiet, with no lighting at night. Overall, everything was perfect.
