Forest parking, bear caution

Large parking area with a fairly level surface; we stayed one night. No view whatsoever. Hiking trails fairly close. In the morning, a park ranger came and asked whether we had seen a bear, so stay alert.

Very large, empty parking area with hardly any litter. Nearby there is a large meadow with a memorial monument, a hiking trailhead, and a small lake about five minutes away by car. Little traffic on the road; we felt safe.

Decent place to spend the night. The nearby road was very quiet. Only downside was trash being present.

Great and quiet place in the middle of the forest. The small road has little traffic during both the day and night.

Excellent spot in this area. Sorry, I forgot the photos, but check Street View. It is a large parking area set back from a quiet road among the trees. Flat and clean. Calm and absolute silence for the night. Arrive slowly because the entrance is not very visible.
