Been here?
A large parking area on a hill above the river mouth, with many spaces and sunset views. Recent conditions include heavy traffic, aircraft noise and evening gatherings of young people, sometimes continuing late. Public toilets and potable water are available next door. The beaches are 4-5 km away, while recent reports describe views toward an industrial port rather than the sea.

A great base for visiting Bilbao. In the evening, many young people come to watch the sunset. Later in the evening, some young people stayed around in the parking area, which did create some noise.
Unhealthy and extremely noisy! Groups of young and older people, an air corridor, and an enormous amount of traffic. Unless urgent, avoid it.
Very disappointing compared with the previous comments. No shade, and you do not see the sea but an industrial port area.
Ideal place to spend a night. Quite a few people come to watch the splendid sunset here, but from 11:30 p.m. there were only a few motorhomes and vans left, and the night was quiet! Public toilets and drinking water are available right next door. A beautiful path runs along the cliffs and is well worth the detour.
Excellent spot, superb sunset view.
Sweet and beautiful place with amazing views. there are a lot of parking spots. Quiet place. it's true that some people come here to talk or chill during the evening and night but it doesn't really bother at all.
This is the third time I have spent the night here. The location is ideal for being near the BEC for concerts. This time there were many young people with music blasting, doing burnouts, drifting, shouting, and so on—and it was only 11:30 p.m., so we moved elsewhere.
We arrived around 7 p.m. and easily found a place to park our converted van (2.65 m) in this cliff-top parking area. A few cars arrived but left immediately after seeing the sunset. Very quiet, residential neighborhood. A beautiful walk along the cliffs. Recycling point and automatic toilets nearby.
A good place to spend the night. Larger motorhomes should park along the side and not occupy two car spaces. We had a quiet night.
Very large place with many parking spaces. When we arrived, there were many motorhomes and a couple of cars with people hanging out; they were not very noisy and left around 10:30–11 p.m. It is next to a very quiet residential area and there is no noise. Very easy to reach from Bilbao.
A Wonderful location for the day and night. and only 25mins drive from Bilbao port. The sun is out and it's Saturday so the parking spaces are nearly full at 7pm. So, I can only assume in the summer it can get rather busy here. My advice come early if planning to spend the day..
Yes, the view was quite nice, but when I arrived (Saturday around 6 p.m.), two couples were having sex in their cars. They had not even covered the windows. I felt uncomfortable and drove away.
Flat, free parking in a quiet residential neighborhood, perched on the cliff with views of the industries and refinery smoke in the bay. A promenade runs along the cliff for stretching your legs. We only parked there because it did not appeal to us. Thank you to the town for providing this space.
Good place to spend the night, quiet and without noise. A little noise in the morning when the planes take off, but that depends on the direction they take off or land. Nice walk nearby.
It is a nice car park with a lovely view and I had a quiet Sunday night. While I cannot decrease the rating as others have stated plenty of people come to play music - I can understand in the evenings, but it's Monday morning before 12 noon and one guy is sat here blasting hardcore techno alone in his car lol, I think he needs to find a job.
Beautiful parking area with walks possible in both directions and fantastic views. The spaces are mainly for cars, but there are five longer spaces along the sides; in December we found one easily. Some activity on Friday evening and music from the beach below, but we were never disturbed. Let’s respect these places! Thanks to the municipality!
Perfect for spending a quiet night with incredible views of Bilbao. There are public toilets a little farther on.
The parking area is okay, but young people come and listen to very loud music.
its ok to spend the night but there are a lot of people hanging out on saturdaynight. did not feel quiet
Large parking on top of the cliffs. Toilets are clean, but do close at night (after 22:00). Metro stop to visit the city is a 30 minutes walk. Our van was shaken a lot by wind gusts though, waking us up several times throughout the night.
Beautiful place; if you bring bicycles, you can easily cycle to Bilbao, but it is also peaceful and scenic to stay here. Ideal for walking too.
I really don’t understand the comments about the lack of services. It’s a parking spot — and a free one — not a camper area, so of course there aren’t any. There are public toilets about 200 m behind the Fort de la Galea, bins, and a stunning cliffside walk with amazing views.
Best place for view.
Five stars for the location and view. You would never believe you had just driven through a major city.
Unattractive parking area with a beautiful view over the port and industrial zones. Useful in a pinch.
Yes, it is a convenient base from which to spend the whole day visiting Bilbao by public transport or bicycle. Either way, the journey will take you one hour.
Beautiful place with a breathtaking view. We spent a wonderful night here alongside many campers. The only drawback is that, being a very popular destination, people park very close together.
I especially recommend it during the week. Be careful about arriving on the weekend because it fills up. LET’S RESPECT THE PLACE: if we arrive and find it full, it is not acceptable to park in the disabled parking spaces. Let’s be respectful.
We liked it so much that we stayed two nights. The nights were very quiet, but on the second morning we were unlucky: the gardeners came and revved their engines. Of course, they have to do their work and keep everything neat.
Brilliant spot, great views, great sunset. No issue's, bins plenty off. 5 stars will be back.
Very suitable for large motorhomes, paved, with bins. A water dispenser and a clean public toilet are reachable within one or two minutes on foot. Quiet, spacious, and with a beautiful view.
Big parking spot, with bathrooms (close during the night), view on the sea and the industrial harbor. Lot of vans and camping cars sleep there, so it can be a bit noisy in the morning and there is young people talking loud in the night. But still good and okay to spend one night, 20 minutes to drive from Bilbao, so that was pretty convenient ! :)
Very large, very quiet parking area. Bins and water for filling bottles available. Walks possible along the ocean.
Quiet place in a flat residential area with plenty of spaces available. Services about 50 meters away along the road. Many other campers and vans parked there. Beautiful view. Unfortunately, some teenagers on motorbikes were having fun testing their bikes and making a lot of noise.
Spaces in a public parking area. Magnificent view and a very pleasant walk along the cliff edge. No services, but good for one night.
A place with great potential... Views and an ideal spot to spend the night.
We parked during the day. Good atmosphere with other campers and motorhomes, a very large grassy area for spending the day, and good views. Bins nearby.
A great place to sleep and enjoy the views of Getxo! From here you can walk the GR123 and visit Getxo, the Old Port, the Vizcaya Bridge, and countless other interesting places! The spaces are somewhat tight, but it is not a problem. There are bins and a nearby fountain. Hopefully Getxo continues supporting places like this. I am not giving it five stars because of the lack of services, but we will definitely return!
Great view! Definitely take a walk along the coast and have a tortilla at Ilinabar.
Very large parking area with beautiful views. We spent the night without any problems. Very quiet.
A place that deserves to exist. Self-cleaning toilets a few steps away. Security from the neighboring villas is present quite often. Views of the industrial docks. Cargo ships and ferries pass by, as do Bermeo’s planes. Despite the toilets, it smells of urine at the rear of the vans. Not very pleasant.
