Contrada Campolato Basso, 96012, Augusta
Been here?
This is a seaside parking area beside a small beach and jetty, with attractive views and easy walking access to the village. It is best suited to the tourist off-season, when the surrounding bars and restaurants are closed. Access for long campers becomes difficult when many cars are parked, and construction materials or structures have sometimes occupied the parking spaces. Water may be available at the Brucoli parking area.

Accessible for long campers if there are not many cars parked; otherwise it is very complicated to access and park, but not impossible. We found a parking space on the afternoon of 03/06/2026 and when most of the cars began leaving in the evening, we moved to the end of the street to spend the night. It is a safe and quiet place; the beach was nothing impressive and there was a great deal of rubbish.
Not suitable for large motorhomes. But it looks very unattractive anyway! Better to use the large, unfortunately rather uneven parking lot at the beginning. Great, pretty village!
Due to the effects of the storm, it is currently not possible to use this place. The site at the entrance to the town should be used.
Actually a very beautiful place with a great view, as described several times before, but concrete pier sections are stored in the designated parking spaces. You can park directly in front of them or opposite, in front of the abandoned site, but the view is blocked. See photo.
Perfect location for one or more nights. It is also possible to refill the camper with water in the Brucoli parking area. Friendly owner; it is better to call before using the water.
We are here in November and it is a very nice place, but it is now impossible to park there because piers have been placed in the space.
A really great, quiet place, with a small bathing beach, a jetty and closed bars. Not far from the town center on foot. But please do not occupy all the spaces. In the morning, an old fisherman sells fish, and many cars park there to shop. For really fresh fish, this is the best address. That is probably also why the cats are not so fond of dry food. ?
Well spotted! Magnificent spot, but as mentioned, perfect in the off-season. We did a little litter picking around us; otherwise, all good. A tiny beach with crystal-clear water, just below our windows. Almost a dream, today.
