Central site, traffic noise

It deserves credit for existing. Noisy because it is next to a very busy road. Close to the town and shops. Thank you to the municipality.

A parking area that resembles a car park. Heavy traffic, which becomes quieter after 11 p.m. Its only advantage is its proximity to central Sarlat, just a few minutes’ walk away. If you are planning only one night, it will do the job.

I will not return here. Far too noisy; there are much better places nearby.

A really very noisy area, only suitable for visiting Sarlat. Avoid it for sleeping due to heavy traffic.

The place met expectations because it is within walking distance of the city. We had hoped for Wi-Fi, as advertised, but it did not work. Power supply is difficult when the site is full because there are too few power outlets.

Very practical area with the Camping-Car Park card, which can also be obtained directly from the entrance machine. Slightly sloped, close to the historic center, 10 minutes on foot. Bakery next door. Noisy during rush hour because it is at the town entrance, but quiet from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Can’t comment on overnight stay but we used the grey waste facility which is accessible without paying. Big area to be able to manoeuvre in and out (with 7.5m motorhome). Very convenient.

Excellent motorhome area. It is better to park on the inner side, although the road is not noisy at night. A little sloped and close to the beautiful city. All services, including electricity, for €19.32. Entry with the app and code is somewhat complicated.

At the beginning of April 2026, the town made one side of the service point freely accessible. Convenient without needing to enter the area (which is paid). Thank you, town council.

Spaces close to the historic center, but very noisy (traffic and helicopters flying overhead).

The proximity to the historic center makes you forget the inconvenience caused by traffic. All the service posts are working again after an electrician's visit. Bakery next to the area. Free bus shuttle. Don't hesitate to take the guided tour with the tourist office.

3 stars for location. Good choices at the bakery next door. The site is beside a main road, and sloping. Bonus is the short walk to the old village. The biggest issue, at the moment is only some of the electricity bollards are working, understand electricians are busy after the storms but CCP still charging full rate and it is lucky dip if you get electricity.

We were at the site this afternoon, then drove on. First, the site was too noisy for us. A decisive factor was registration for the rest of my life. I only wanted to stay one night and had absolutely no desire to read through all the paperwork. We drove 12 km farther to Beynac-et-Cazenac. Half the price and complete peace.

Easy-to-access area, slightly sloping along the road, which is not a problem in February. Very good bakery 30 meters away. It is possible to fill and empty tanks inside or outside the area. The town is 500 meters away and well worth visiting for its food and architecture.

January 8. Area close to the center, a positive point. Very close to the road, but at this time of year there are no problems.

My first stay using this site. The area is fairly decent. After calling assistance to solve an electrical-point problem, everything went smoothly. The small noise issue mentioned by other users is quickly solved with earplugs. The only remaining issue is the somewhat excessive price.

We stayed in a self-sufficient van for two nights on November 19 and 20. The area can accommodate all types of motorhomes and vans. Ideally located, 500 meters from the historic center. There is a bakery opposite the entrance. The nights were quiet, with no traffic at this time of year.

We spent two nights here. Advantages: close to the center, about a 10-minute walk; fairly flat and accessible. Disadvantages: yet another town charging motorhomes, and above all, a very noisy area because it is close to a busy road. Services working.

At the entrance to the town, ideal for visiting the beautiful town of Sarlat-la-Canéda. Few motorhomes at this time of year. Everything worked well. Peaceful night.

Very good, the services work well and it is a 4-minute walk from the center. For us, coming with a dog, it was great to walk from the motorhome area to the village. It is next to a road, but the cars did not bother us. There were about ten motorhomes at night and it was very good. There is another, slightly smaller area nearby.

Good area for visiting the beautiful town of Sarlat. Very close to the medieval village, within walking distance. All services are working very well, including electricity. Although it is next to a highway, the noise did not bother us at night.

Everyone lined up bumper to bumper, noisy, very noisy. Horrible night. The only pleasure was the hot croissants the next morning at the bakery at the entrance to the area! I forgot that arriving was not easy. Service post malfunctioning, stuck at the entrance, and electricity down because too many people were plugged in! We'll see about getting out.

Camping-Car Park area located on an ordinary parking lot, noisy during the day, tolerable at night. Everything is sloping. The electricity points were difficult to activate. The location is nevertheless convenient for visiting Sarlat, but only for one night.

Expensive, and the electrical points do not work. Nevertheless, it is the only area for large motorhomes so close to the center for sightseeing.

Area too small; the pitches are reserved, and when you arrive at the barrier you can see empty spaces but cannot access them. In addition, this paved parking lot has no real interest other than being close to the town center. We therefore left for La Roque-Gageac, where we easily found a place.

Avoid it because it is extremely expensive. You are better off going elsewhere; there is a lot of noise.
