Been here?
This is a very quiet parking area at a forest cemetery, suitable for a peaceful overnight stop. The access road is genuinely steep and may be difficult in wet, icy or frosty conditions, depending on the vehicle. An unlocked cemetery toilet is next to the parking area, and walking routes and a grassy area are nearby. Cemetery traffic occurs during the day, while nights are usually quiet.

We were at the Gassensensationen festival in Heppenheim and initially wanted to spend the night at the open-air theatre, but there was a performance there, which is highly recommended. Around midnight we went to the forest cemetery in Bensheim for one night. We liked it very much and went on a bike ride from there to the Felsenmeer. We enjoyed the day. Many thanks to Bensheim.
Great quiet place for one night. No people between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.; two cars on Saturday morning. Beware! The access road is genuinely very steep. Depending on weather conditions, tyres, and vehicle weight, it could be difficult to drive up safely in frost, dampness, or slippery conditions. We had damp conditions, but only a 3.5-ton vehicle, good tyres, and a temperature of 7°C. Everything worked out well, and we arrived at night and discreetly parked at the back in the corner. Naturally quiet, with respect for the cemetery and the site. Thanks, Waldfriedhof team!
Quiet motorhome area; we stayed for one night. Another micro-camper was there too.
As described below, enclosed parking at a cemetery. Very quiet. Slept well. Blossoms, flowers in bloom, sunshine, walking. Enjoying it :-)
Steep approach, but the bus also drives up. Apparently overnight stays are not allowed, although there is no prohibition sign. Very clean and quiet. Toilets are available, though we did not use them.
Great place for one night! We had the parking area to ourselves. Perfect with a dog, with a meadow directly beside the parking area and more walking opportunities nearby. There is even a rubbish bin and dog-waste bags at the bus stop on the site. Most importantly, the toilets were open, with toilet paper, soap, and paper towels—what more could you want? ;)
Great stopover. Instead of one night, we stayed for two. The area is beautiful for walking. It is very quiet here at night. During the day, people drive back and forth to the cemetery, but it is not disruptive. There is a toilet, and it is clean.
Fine remote parking lot with open toilet. Unfortunately people were coming and leaving until 00.00 It was during the weekend. Still Abit eerie due to the graveyard
An extremely quiet place that I am happy to recommend as a hidden gem. There is a rubbish bin, dog-waste bags, and a toilet that was open all night during our stay.
We had a very quiet night. The access road is steep, but not narrow; trucks also drive up to the cemetery.
Very quiet; we had an excellent night. Toilets available.
A peaceful night in a pleasant area.
