50 Loisstrasse, 7310, Bad Ragaz
Been here?
A quiet, simple gravel car park behind the Pizolbahnen cable-car station, popular as a base for the Bad Ragaz cable-car hikes (including the 5 Lakes trail). No electricity, but fresh water and toilet/chemical-toilet emptying are available; grey water dump is not. Overnight stay costs around CHF 19-28 for a van, plus tourist tax, and includes a 20% discount on cable-car tickets. Showers are not available. Surroundings feel a bit industrial with some road noise, though most travellers report peaceful nights.

The area behind the cable-car building is very large, providing plenty of parking space. However, the surroundings feel like an industrial zone and there is traffic noise. Otherwise, the toilets are clean. CHF 28.20 for a van and two people. It is especially convenient for the magnificent Five Lakes hike.
Flat parking lot at the foot of the cable cars. Very quiet. Water available to fill the tank.
Cable-car parking for the Five Lakes hike. Park at the back near the fields. Water and clean toilets. Reliable Wi-Fi. We spent two very peaceful nights there. Really good for the price: CHF 19 plus visitor tax. You also get 20% off the lifts.
Very quiet and relaxing place, perfect for an overnight stop. We will certainly come back sometime.
CHF 19 includes 24 hours of parking and overnight parking for one motorhome. Visitor tax is CHF 4.60 per adult; for the visitor tax paid, you get rides 20% cheaper here. We paid CHF 28.20. Unfortunately, this is not listed above in the prices. Attention: be sure to ask for an exit ticket when paying—don’t forget.
23CHF not 19CHF as advertised…In Oct. Starting to wonder if UK tourists get an additional ‘tax’ as this is not the first time I’ve paid more than what is advertised. No frills site which is quiet and with plenty of space this time of year. Couldn’t find wastewater pit or fresh water station - only a trough
Great starting point, and you get 20% off the tickets. The Five Lakes hike was incredibly beautiful, and we were glad to have parked right here.
Ideal for hikers looking for a simple overnight option before continuing their journey the next day. No showers; after a long day in the mountains that would of course be ideal, but it is manageable. Prices are naturally higher, but normal for Switzerland. The 20% discount on the cable-car ticket makes it worthwhile. No fixed checkout time the next day.
Simple motorhome stop at the cable car. We received 20% off the ride toward Pizol.
Good, simple stop without electricity, but with water supply and a toilet dump. Good value for Switzerland. We had a quiet night. The cable-car’s public toilets can be used.
ski lift parking lot. not that many people, quiet at night. toilet and fresh water. cost me 23.50 chf for 1 night, 1 person.
Very good motorhome stop next to the cable cars. It has toilets and fresh water. Very quiet at night, with many hiking trails nearby.
There is a hose for filling water, apparently intended for cleaning bicycles, and a chemical-toilet dump for black water, but there is no grey-water dump. 45 minutes free!
Great place. I wasn’t clear which spaces were specifically for motorhomes, so I simply parked like the others. The price is rather high, but it is right by the cable car. The next morning, just go to the valley station and pay, and you’ll receive an exit ticket.
We were here for two nights at the beginning of September. Very nice motorhome stop with views of the surrounding mountains. Good starting point for lovely bike rides. Clean chemical-toilet disposal available.
Nice overnight spot; we slept peacefully. CHF 28.20 per night, including 20% off the gondola! If you want to do the Five Lakes hike, you are practically staying here for free. You do not return to this gondola after the hike, but a free shuttle brings you back to your camper from the other gondola. Ideal place and a stunning hike above!
We stayed for only one night. The friendly staff at the cable-car ticket office told us that the season had not yet started and that we were nevertheless allowed to stay there. Waste disposal and fresh-water supply worked well. We slept very well. Deducted points for no electricity and no drive-over grey-water disposal. We’ll be back!
