A large, airy campsite in the forest above the valley, with a sports field, excellent views of the valley and Trifels Castle, and good hiking access. The site is mainly intended for youth groups but also welcomes small campers, with quiet surroundings and 24-hour access to toilets and showers. Facilities are simple but the bathrooms are new, and a restaurant serving schnitzel is nearby.

Phoned ahead and was told to just turn up. Sabine gave us the full tour and was just lovely. it's basically a field next to the centre but with 24 hour access to toilets and showers and plenty space it was perfect. 20 minute walk down to Annweiler which is very pretty. They don't advertise and I can understand why. Keep it simple!
Very friendly hosts. Great site for small campers and quietly located. Excellent sanitary facilities. I would happily return.Translating
