Place de la Mairie, 37340, Gizeux
Been here?
A free municipal motorhome area with spacious, well-delimited spots hedged for privacy. All spots are clean, flat, and recently enlarged to at least 16 places. Grey-water drainage is available, though water requires tokens sold only at the town hall and shops—check opening hours before visiting. The site is very quiet day and night, with a bakery 2 minutes away and Gizeux Castle nearby.

Very nice area, spacious pitches, quiet night. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Very pleasant area with clearly marked, spacious pitches. Gray-water disposal is possible, but tokens cannot be purchased because the shops and town hall are closed.Translating
fantastic park up in the cutest little town! would have given it 5 star but you need a token for the water and all the places that sold them were closed. we managed to fill up using the tap in the toilets but it was a faff!
Campervan area that is easy to access and very pleasant. The spaces are separated by hedges and are very spacious. Ideal for hiking in the surrounding area. Thank you to the municipality for offering motorhome travelers this free, well-maintained area.Translating
Warm welcome in a quiet setting, with a bakery just a stone's throw away. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Superb area; each pitch is separated by a small hedge, allowing everyone to have their own little space. Very quiet. A small bakery is two minutes away and there is a beautiful château. Perfect.Translating
The area has been expanded by six beautiful spaces. The bakery is still open in the village. Enjoy absolute peace and quiet.Translating

Very pretty, spacious, clean, and genuinely quiet area. We did not use the services. Nice little village. Unfortunately, Château de Gizeux is closed in winter, but we will come back. We spent a pleasant, peaceful night.Translating
Beautiful area. Everything works. No cars in the space reserved for motorhomes. We were alone there today. Very quiet and pleasant. Not far from Château de Chinon, which I went to visit. Great!Translating
Beautiful, spacious area; unfortunately, it is overrun with cars.Translating
A huge thank-you to the municipality of Gizeux for this free facility in a wooded, quiet setting. Just a few steps from Château de Gizeux, where we enjoyed a magnificent Scottish festival called “Samhain,” and with a bakery open a few meters away. A real delight on a Sunday morning. Another huge thank-you!Translating
The campervan area itself is fantastic! Five stars for that. Thanks to the municipality for making this beautiful place available to campers for free. Unfortunately, the old red bus mentioned previously was also there today, with loose dogs that were not supervised. Before we could get out at the spot we had chosen, we actually had to clean up 2 kg of dog feces. Disgraceful!Translating
Superb area run by the town hall. Spacious pitches separated by hedges. Very quiet. Public toilets next to the area. Even better than a campsite! And it is free, except for the €2 services. This is a good opportunity to visit the pretty château, where the welcome is very friendly.Translating
Thank you to the municipality for this peaceful pitch. It is unfortunate that the baker no longer has tokens, because when we choose an area it is specifically to have water, so they should remember to restock. Go and visit the château, which is incredibly beautiful; this way we make a modest contribution to preserving this heritage. Huge congratulations to the whole family for their work.Translating
Very beautiful area, very large pitches, and a beautiful château to visit.Translating
Not as clean as that. A very polluting red van and its dog left animal waste everywhere—a disgrace, with droppings all over the place! What a shame, because it is otherwise a welcoming and relaxing area. Thanks nevertheless to the municipality and its residents.Translating

Superb area with spacious, well-marked, grassy pitches. Easy to access, with toilets nearby in front of the old washhouse. Thank you to the municipality for the welcome.Translating
Hello, pleasant area, but the water does not work. We reported it to the town hall, so we left very disappointed. Perhaps it will work next time.Translating
Thank you to the village for this space; a very peaceful night. Ten motorhomes.
Excellent free area, with the village nearby, and you can also walk to Château de Gizeux. It is run by a passionate family and is truly worth a visit! A little farther away, the Troubadours' Barn is also a great place to spend some time. Thank you, Gizeux!
Perfect, thank you to the municipality.
