Lakeside parking, water uncertain

Small, peaceful roadside parking area. The nearby lake offers a pleasant walk, and from the dam embankment there is a lovely view of the Pyrenees, snow-covered at this time of year. Quiet night with little traffic, waking to birdsong.

Great location, very quiet when I was there. Composting toilet, waste containers, picnic tables, barbecue and a water pump. Definitely worth staying one night or more.

Many people use this car park, but it is well located and there are rubbish bins on site. Lovely walks can be taken from here.

Perfect, peaceful beside a very quiet road. Working dry toilets, rubbish bins, barbecue, picnic tables and a water tap, although it was still turned off at this time of year. Beautiful view of the lake, and a little farther along the dam there is a view of the mountain range. For sporty visitors, there is a fitness trail and a 13-kilometre hiking route, the PR15. Please leave the place clean!

By the lake. Very quiet at this time of year; we were alone. Barbecue area. A pump but no water. Dry toilets. Very nice walk.

Fantastic spot, great for dogs and walking in the forests and around the lake. Free water recycle and general waste bins. Very quiet once all the evening walkers have left. Close to a road but not busy and very quiet overnight with first traffic around 6:30am.

Here is a small, convenient and well-located car park near Lake Astarac, with two working amenities: a clean dry toilet and a water point with an old-fashioned cast-iron fountain, very convenient! There are also picnic tables with a view of the lake. A minor drawback is that it is next to a fairly busy road. We highly recommend it!
