This is a paid, illuminated motorhome area on asphalt near Hohwacht, surrounded by two larger car parks. The beach is about 400 meters away, with the town center, promenade, restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The fee is 15 euros, payable by coin or card; currently, toilet and wastewater disposal are available, while water intake and rubbish disposal are unavailable. A hot shower is also reported.

The site is basic but okay. The shower was hot. The downside is that the urinal is positioned so women have to walk past it.
Parking area on asphalt surrounded by two large car parks. Unfortunately, a little farther from the beach. Good for a day at the beach, a walk along the shore and bicycle trips.
Currently no rubbish disposal; the water supply is covered. Toilet and wastewater disposal are available.
Very many asphalt pitches in the middle of Hohwacht. A very large car park overall; if the motorhome area is full, you can probably park elsewhere too. There is a toilet building with a separate room and shower cubicle, usable at no extra cost, including electricity for a hairdryer. Electricity for the motorhome is also available if needed, as well as fresh water and a disposal station. Everything is tip-top; gladly again!
No supply and disposal services, shower or toilet are available anymore. The building and equipment have unfortunately been dismantled. Only electricity posts remain. Unfortunately, the excessive price of €15 for motorhomes must still be paid, even in the low season. The payment machine has been replaced and works very well.
At this time of year there is absolute silence in Hohwacht. In the area around the parking site, don't expect much in terms of snack bars, restaurants or shopping—everything is closed or nonexistent. On the other hand, it is absolutely quiet, relaxed and restful, and very close to the beach. Perhaps the operator could consider reducing the site fees in the low season.
Very good parking area with everything you need. Good for going to the beach or exploring the village.
Unfortunately, there is currently neither a sanitary container nor supply and disposal facilities, as they are locked. Nevertheless, €15 is charged. Cars have a winter rate, but motorhomes do not. The Edeka shop shown in the photos no longer exists either. Otherwise, a good site close to the beach.
Both the asphalt area and the gravel area are good. The beach is only about 400 m away. There is currently a sanitary container. Unfortunately, the shower cannot be locked, but it is nicely hot. One toilet cubicle, perfectly adequate. Downside: when I open the container door, I can watch a man urinating from the side; there is no privacy screen. No toilet disposal!
Large car park, with some spaces available for motorhomes. Unfortunately, motorhomes can only book 24 hours for €15. We stayed there for only a few hours, but the full price was still due. That was not great.
Lovely parking area. Quiet location. Short, barrier-free access to the beach. Toilet and shower clean. Dog-friendly, although dogs are not allowed on the beach; there is a dog beach. You can choose between a concrete or gravel pitch. Good TV reception.
Best parking area we have ever stayed at. Quiet location, right by the beach, €15 for 24 hours, toilet and hot shower free, clean and always open! Perfect for a few days!
Nice quiet parking area. Unfortunately, the Eseka Smartbox is closed and is moving to another municipality.
Good parking area with toilet and shower, and grey-water disposal. I have been here several times and am happy to return.
The site is as described. You can also park on additional unmarked gravel spaces—there are more than 17 electrical outlets. The toilet and shower container is clean and compares well with campsites. The parking meter has received an update and works well by card. I come here often and can only recommend the site!
The site is large, clean and quiet. The parking meter works, and €15 for 24 hours is reasonable.
Nice centrally located site. Level and quiet at night. Little charm but functional. There are supply and disposal facilities and an extremely clean toilet and shower container—cleaner than some five-star campsites. We slept well and would happily return. The price is €15, although the parking meter is currently out of order.
The SIM card in the parking meter apparently usually has no reception, so card payment is generally not possible. Pay with coins or at the friendly tourist information office on Berliner Platz. The 24/7 EDEKA self-service shop directly at the site is unfortunately permanently closed; instead, you can now shop after closing time at the “large” EDEKA at the other end of town.
Lovely quiet place. Apparently overnight stays are free in the low season. However, the supply and disposal facilities are also out of service.
Actually not such a bad site—but currently no supply or disposal facilities, at the same price. A motorhome owner illegally emptied into the drain and discharged grey water on the site. The parking meter displays “tariff-free period until 14 May” but still asks for payment; cards are currently processed, but no ticket is issued and ultimately no charge is made.
€15 year-round for no services. Supply and disposal facilities are locked in winter. The price-performance ratio is inadequate. The entire town is in winter hibernation.
We slept well here, and lovely walks are possible. Read the parking meter carefully and payment will work. We would come here again.
The site is quiet and clean. Solid paved surface and very generously separated pitches. Bakery only 800 m away; beach with beautiful walking routes just 500 m away. Fresh water available, as are toilet and grey-water disposal. No sanitary facilities, but otherwise absolutely fine and quiet. The parking meter with EC card does not work, but cash payment is possible.
We stayed here for one night; actually a nice site. The electricity post works only when it feels like it. We put in €3 and nothing happened; the money was not returned either! We were not the only ones. We called the listed telephone number this Monday morning, but no one answered. You could call it a scam, as this issue has been ongoing for some time.
