Mountain source, overnight limit

Unfortunately, the human factor makes me give it 1 star. We parked with three campervans, and everything was fine until someone approached our vehicles around 2 a.m., then again around 5 a.m., this time trying to open our doors and storage compartments. When we shone a light from inside, the person or people left, but so did we. Stay vigilant.

Generally flat parking area (more or less depending on the spot). Public toilets nearby and bins at the entrance. A pleasant, peaceful spot; unfortunately, the restaurant in the village just above was closed when we visited.

Wonderful place discovered after hiking along the Buèges from Saint-Jean-de-Buèges. We spent the night here—the paradise! Just birdsong, frogs, and the sound of sheep bells. Thank you to the municipality for allowing us to stay one night!

I spent two nights here, as permitted by the sign. Be careful: there is hunting on Saturdays. You can set off on foot from here to Saint-Jean-de-Buèges.

Perfect spot for complete peace and quiet! The toilet and the possibility of filling containers are a plus.

Lovely little parking area slightly set back from the road. A few tables under the olive trees. But beware of Waze, which directs you to a completely different place. Leave Pégairolles and wait for the large SOURCES DE LA BUÈGE sign; it is well marked. Absolute peace and quiet on January 1st—we had lunch here and took a nap. No view. Clean toilets with toilet paper! Bins too.

Wonderful place for its tranquility. For motorhomes, there is a very flat parking area 200 m before it. Water tap at the cemetery higher up.

Car parking without services. Nearby toilet, water, and bins. Near the Buèges spring, which is worth seeing. Not suitable for motorhomes: little room to maneuver and surrounded by cars. We went a little farther.

Eight years after suggesting this place, it is still just as pleasant. I am going to stay for two nights starting today and would be delighted to meet users of this site—welcome. Great news: a toilet area with a sink and rubbish containers.

We are here for one night. Very pretty place, very close to the Buèges spring. Hiking starts here. We did the short 3 km loop leading to the village of Pégairolles-de-Buèges. There is a fairly new public toilet, as well as recycling containers.

Splendid place to spend a good night. Very quiet. Easy and beautiful walk around the spring.

Great place, very quiet and little frequented. Be careful: it is difficult to park tall vehicles because the small trees have many low branches spread out to provide as much shade as possible. With our 2.75 m height, we could not reverse to the back of the parking area.

Great place, lovely walks, very quiet night. Some traffic in the parking area during the day. I think weekends and holidays should be avoided.

Peaceful place, with the sound of birds and water and a starry sky. You can use the tables provided or put your own in the shade of one of the many olive trees. Very busy during the day, but there were only three vans at night. A small restaurant five minutes away on foot, absolutely exquisite and welcoming, and several hiking trails through the forest and to lovely nearby villages.

Great place. Quiet and with a lovely view of the mountains. Perfect for dogs, with a low-traffic road. I couldn't try the pizzeria because it was closed.

It looked nice, but I had to flee because of the mosquitoes. One kilometre away there are spots without mosquitoes. A shame, but it could be good outside summer.
