Route du Vercours, Camping Municipal, 38680, Pont-en-Royans
Been here?
Small municipal campsite beside the Bourne River at Pont-en-Royans, within walking distance of the village and its hanging houses. Large pitches with variable separation. Facilities old and basic but clean; no wastewater evacuation. Welcoming staff. Authentic, charming riverside setting. Cost 24–26€ with electricity. A separate motorhome-only service area exists (currently closed due to vandalism).

Do not confuse the motorhome area, where the only services are the water dispenser and grey- and black-water dump, with the municipal Les Seraines campsite just above it, where you will find all the services. Indeed, the sanitary facilities were vandalized and are therefore closed.
No sanitary facilities, poorly maintained, expensive for what is provided.
Campsite well located near the center, accessible on foot. Otherwise, the facilities are rustic and limited, with medieval-style closures, cobwebs, and sinks closed off without electrical outlets. There is potential for modernization. It remains a question of willingness... The soap dispensers are present but remain desperately empty. In conclusion, acceptable but expensive.
Extremely friendly and warm welcome from Marcel and his colleague. Very simple campsite, aging but adequate sanitary facilities. Family campsite, but there is nothing to do apart from a small access point to the river. Near the bridge and the hanging houses, via a rather pleasant riverside path. We paid €48 for two people, one van and electricity, a little expensive for the facilities.
Visited the campsite to possibly spend one night. We were really not tempted: pitches are barely separated, there is no possibility of swimming, and the campsite is rather run-down.
A very warm welcome in a charming place. We came at the beginning of June in a van with our dog and spent two nights there :-) Pont-en-Royans can be reached on foot, ideal for exploring this beautiful village. The campsite manager recommended an excellent nearby restaurant, Le Beau Rivage :-)
Very good and great services.
Small riverside campsite, close to the village. Pleasant welcome. Adequate pitch; facilities from another era but clean! No grey-water drainage! The value for money is a little high for this municipal campsite compared with the services offered. €26 for two people, electricity and one dog. Although the setting encourages peace and quiet, the roads above remain noisy...
Very friendly campsite, and the manager is too. We had an excellent weekend on May 1 in our van. The pitches are large and the sanitary facilities very clean. Very good bakery 10 minutes' walk from the campsite via a very pleasant path. Thanks to the municipality for keeping the campsite alive. Francky and Flo
Authentic campsite in a magnificent setting. The manager is indeed very friendly and gave us excellent information about the village, which is really worth visiting. I recommend it.
Very pretty campsite beside the Bourne. Since the new manager, who is very kind, took over, there are lovely pitches.
Simple but beautiful site with friendly staff and a footpath into town. €24 including electricity and a hot shower.
A small campsite with clean sanitary facilities. A pitch for one vehicle for one night and two people cost €20 in May.
Campsite very well located, close to shops and hiking trailheads, and less than 15 km from attractions such as Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye, the Petrifying Fountains Garden and the Choranche Caves. Impeccable welcome, spacious and well-defined pitches, facilities a little old but very clean. We will definitely return.
Exemplary welcome. Thank you for the instructions and advice. Enchanting and fairly quiet site. The sanitary facilities are rather dated but very clean.
A great site for an overnight near the gorge and caves. Friendly welcome, around €18 for two in a small campervan. Facilities all clean. Nice river view. Quiet.
Very beautiful campsite beside the river. Very quiet and close to the village.
Great campsite just a stone's throw from Pont-en-Royans. Perfect welcome, kind staff and good advice.
