Impasse de la Forêt, 47700, Casteljaloux
Been here?
Free parking with four hard-standing pitches in full sun, adjacent to the waste and recycling station. Free water and waste dump available. Flat, accessible for vehicles to 7.3 metres. Daytime is noisy: a truck passes at 7:30am and garbage collection around 10:15am. Overnight is quiet. The town centre with shops (McDonald's, E.Leclerc) is a five-minute walk away.

Parking large enough for our 7.30 m motorhome. Very quiet overnight stop.Translating
Thanks to the municipality for this stop with emptying facilities and water available. Beautiful town to visit and a very lovely cycle ride to the lake. Remember to support the local businesses.Translating
I am giving five stars to thank the town of Casteljaloux for providing this free service area where everything works, plus free water. There are few spaces and the area can be busy, but otherwise it is perfect, with the bins right next to it. Please leave the place clean.Translating
All in all, a nice place. It is very popular and therefore somewhat unsettled, with campers having to turn around to continue driving. In addition, many cars turn around because they come to drop off rubbish at the adjacent recycling station. Water is free and waste disposal is fine. Close to the centre and large shops. Four spaces are simply too few. We were able to sleep peacefully.

Beautiful motorhome stop with all facilities. You can also take on water, even now in February.Translating
Quiet spot, services work well—water, grey-water and black-water emptying—and bins are nearby, with no disturbing smell. Quiet neighborhood close to large supermarkets. The rubbish truck came by around 10:15, so there was no nighttime disturbance. I recommend this area; thanks to the municipality. P.S. We did not feel any wind.

Very clean area, with a lovely space for walking. All services work; we used them to stock up at the nearby shops, but we did not spend the night there. Thanks to the municipality.Translating

Thanks to the municipality for providing this area. Fresh-water filling, grey-water and cassette emptying.Translating
Thanks for this welcome area, where you can fill up with water using a tap that also serves to rinse cassettes and empty them. Four places, full tonight. Leclerc and McDonald's right next door, plus a cycle path. Bins are present but inaccessible to us. Locals come and go from early morning to use the bins. Unpleasant smells, but that's normal with bins.Translating
Very well-located and pleasant area for a stopover. Quiet but close to the town centre. We spent one night here. Thanks to the municipality.Translating

To be avoided! We felt unsafe from midnight onwards, with people driving around the area, talking loudly, banging noises, motorcycles starting at full speed... We no longer dared move. At 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, a rubbish truck came to collect the containers, making an incredible racket... This area is NOT SUITABLE FOR OVERNIGHT STAYS; come only for the services.Translating
Very good for one night, services included. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
Perfect for emptying our tanks and filling up with water. Shame there is no access to the bins. Large supermarket directly opposite.Translating
Very convenient for emptying tanks and filling up with water. You can do some shopping directly opposite, but that's all! Indeed, the smell is really unpleasant!!Translating
I wouldn't recommend it for sleeping; it is next to the containers and smells very bad. For getting water and emptying grey and black water, it's excellent!Translating
Four pitches with emptying facilities and water. Free. We stopped here for the services. Thanks to the municipality for providing them. Pleasant town with Lake Clarence and the thermal baths nearby. Well-maintained cycle paths and walking routes.
There are several recycling containers stuck next to the motorhome pitches. Lots of traffic, and cars turn around in front of the motorhomes. Sandy and rocky ground. We only emptied our tanks and collected free water. Thanks to the municipality.
Only the photo with the bins is accurate. We were woken at 6:20 a.m. by the rubbish collection, plus people dropping off their waste and slamming their doors, as if they don't like motorhome users. Our impression is not positive.
Nobody there at 7 p.m. Understandable given the smell from the bins; we reversed out and went to the municipal area.
It is possible to discharge wastewater, empty the toilet and fill up with water for free.
Simple and practical! Clean and quiet. No litter on the ground, and the service points are accessible.
We no longer stay here since rubbish has been piling up on the ground next to this area. Very unpleasant!! A shame, because the town is pleasant.
Thanks to the town hall for this area near the town and not too far from the lake—3 km, walkable. A shame about the bins.
People drive around the area; we felt unsafe and left. It's a shame, because it is well located.
Quiet area, but unfortunately there is no access to the household-waste containers for motorhome users; a resident card is required. Nevertheless, we left with our rubbish rather than leaving it on the ground. It is also a shame that we couldn't empty our tanks because a motorhome was parked on the facility overnight.
Unfortunately, everything was full. All the bins were overflowing and it was dirty. We wouldn't have stayed even if there had been a free place.
We couldn't stay because there was no space left. The bins were overflowing! We went to the municipal campsite, with all the comforts, hot water, very clean sanitary facilities and a great welcome, all for €13 per night! And no overflowing bins!
Thanks to the friendly municipality of Casteljaloux for providing everything a motorhome user needs. Perfect! Peaceful night!
