Woodland parking, no overnight stays

No overnight parking sign, forestry guys came and told me not to stay the night but enjoy it in the day time!

Nice for hiking. We stopped here for a break to eat.

Small quiet car park without services. At this time there was no regulation sign for motorhomes. There is traffic from early in the morning.

Great place for one night. Motorhomes explicitly welcome!

Small but quiet car park surrounded by trees probably comfortably fit 4 campers. Located just off the A9, this car park is very quiet. Good signal on EE. Would definitely stay again

Enclosed spot by trees giving protection against gusts. Also opportunity for beautiful walks in the forest next to it. During autumn we stayed here with 4 other campers so might get busy in high season. Would not risk if you are late in the evening during high season.

We were lucky to find a place. Quiet spot for a break. At the start of a great hike. No facilities, but it is already good, being so close to Loch Ness and far from the road. Perfect for a van.

It is a very busy place, usually it is always full by walkers and it is very small not convenient for motorhomes, only is perfect for a couple of Vans.It's the second time we tried to park there, thinking that the first time it was because high season.

Very good spot, nice and quiet and conveniently placed. Difficult to find a perfectly level spot but definitely manageable.

Good park up in a quiet location. Came across this on the forestry and land Scotland website which states space for 6. We arrived at almost 11pm after travelling but unfortunately the 4 campers/Motorhomes parked up had parked leaving no space for anyone else to park up. Luckily we found another spot less than 5 miles away with 30 spaces, although right by the A9.

Arrived around 8pm and managed to get the last spot. Beautiful place in forest car park.

Very relaxed and a beautiful walking trail around the lake. But arrive early! Otherwise all the places are gone.

Lovely quiet little spot. Part of Visit Scotland’s ‘Stay the Night’ plan. Next up to one another motorhome and 2 campervans. Perfect for an overnight stay!

Brilliant little spot. Please read the signs stating that a maximum of 4 campers are allowed. When I was there, 2 more campers arrived later. They fit, but PLEASE follow the rules, otherwise these places will not exist for long.

Relatively spacious. No sign prohibiting campers. Many dog owners come and go in the evening and morning.

Quiet spot where, fortunately, we managed to get one of the 6 available places at 6 p.m. Before or after dinner, you can do one of the two 1–2 km trails. And best of all: in the morning, follow the green trail to the right for about 400 m, where you get a wonderful view over the shallow lake and find a convenient place to enter the water for a morning swim.

A beautiful place not only for geocachers. Quiet, yet you are not completely alone at night—with us there were 2 other campers. We walked both hiking routes in the evening. Well marked and very beautiful in nature.
