Been here?
A very large, free market parking area close to the city, suitable for overnight stays. It becomes extremely crowded on market days, especially Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, with vehicles and stalls sometimes surrounding parked campers. Nights can be reasonably quiet but are not consistently peaceful. The area is dirty and has no services.

Arrived Tues 5pm & there was space by the river as the market had started to pack up. Next morning it was empty but a vehicle was trying to work around us so we moved up a tier and went off to town. when we came back a car boot had set up around us, including Infront of us so had to get them to move so we could squeeze out. Otherwise a quiet night and very close to town. And the market is great!
Excellent parking area in front of the farmers' market. If you want to visit it, we recommend arriving the day before or early in the morning. From 8 a.m. it becomes very crowded. We spent two nights here; it is not the quietest place, but that was no problem for us. Be aware that once parked, you may not be able to leave before evening. We used the time to visit the city.
Excellent, we spent three nights here! Convenient for walking into the center as well.
No problem, but the place is really dirty and ugly. Plenty of parking, including for large vehicles.
Very large free parking area. Extremely crowded on market days (Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday). Quiet at night. Unfortunately very dirty. No services.
We spent a quiet night here. The police drove by many times but didn't pay any attention to us. On friday it's worth going to the bazaar - a very large selection of vegetables, clothes and other things
Nice spot, quiet nights. I arrived on Wednesday and it was completely empty. On Thursday there was a small market in the riverside and parking was full. On Friday there was a market in the bazaar and the parking was full of vans. If you have a van and the bazaar is open, people will park in front of you and block you off assuming it's a seller's van!
quiet night. supermarkets across the bridge. no market on Thursday other than the jumble sale but big markets on Tuesday and Fridays . Town is a labrynth of shops so keep your phone charged for maps!! Seafront is pleasant, trojan horse and info re Troy one way and the castle via naval museum the other.
Not the best, not the worst. Cars coming and going all night. About what you could expect from a city park up. Well located to head into the city for food, phone shops and PTT locations for HGS. Just be careful where you park, we decided to move as where we were started to turn in to a late night jumble sale area. In the morning it was very busy in the same fashion picture added to show this.
Sufficient space and level pitches available. No services. Good for visiting the city. Not the quietest place, but we had a relaxing night.
We went around the town in the morning, felt safe. Right next to a big market (sok) which we walked around. Lots of fresh fruits, cheese, veg and honey.
A huge parking area next to a large market. It fills up on Thursdays and Fridays because those are market days. Free spaces do not start becoming available until 7 p.m.
Some noise at night. Otherwise, it was a peaceful night. Market open on Tuesdays; they do not open very early. Affordable prices.
Big free parking to visit the city or spend the night! There is a big bazaar nearby. During the bazaar working hours, the parking is totally full and very noisy. Is not recommended for parking
great free parking to visit the city or spend the night!
