Small riverside campsite near castle, 500m walk through park to town. Friendly owners, very reasonable prices, serve pizza and café food. Clean toilets; shaded setting. Warning: poor hedge maintenance and not open year-round—call ahead.

Really inexpensive, excellent bathrooms, 500 meters from the castle through a beautiful park.Translating
Very good for a one-night stopover, but it does not deserve three stars. Hedges are unmaintained, and you have to pay an additional €5 if you use your vehicle’s air conditioning. The sanitary facilities have been renovated, but there is no lighting by the dishwashing sinks in the evening. No water point in the campsite, only one at the sanitary block.Translating
Very nice campsite by the river and the castle. Very friendly managers. Excellent simple food service. Very reasonable price. We will return.Translating
Thank you for the welcome and cleanliness of this lovely shady campsite, very close to the town dominated by a magnificent castle. We will gladly return!Translating
The description is accurate. Small but lovely. Very nice operators. The women’s toilets even have toilet seats, which has never been the case before. The men have to make do with the squat toilet. There is only one cubicle with one.Translating
Very pleasant campsite, excellent welcome. The pitches are well defined and very well shaded, which is especially important during this current hot spell. The facilities are good and very clean. I recommend this campsite.Translating
Excellent welcome from the managers and Virgule, exceptional pizza, a simple and highly effective campsite! Many thanks to them!Translating
We drove there for nothing; the campsite is not open year-round as described. On 3/3/26, our large motorhome and trailer had to turn around and we drove to a nearby site. The owner was very nice, hence three stars. She said the listing was simply described incorrectly.Translating
Friendly owners, but this is not a three-star campsite. The greenery is not maintained, and because of the overgrowth everything is rather gloomy and dark. The sanitary facilities are old and drafty; they are cleaned, but not really clean. We ordered bread for the next day, but €1.80 for a croissant and baguette is far too expensive. We paid over €16 without electricity for two people, plus €1.50 for the dog. Far too expensive.Translating
Pleasant small campsite with friendly staff. Very clean sanitary facilities. Bread and pastries in the morning. Lapalisse Castle, about 800 meters away, is absolutely worth visiting.Translating
Pleasant, quiet, and clean campsite; very friendly owner.Translating
Indeed, a campsite just as we like them: large, clearly marked pitches providing privacy, friendly welcome, services, games, and top-notch sanitary facilities. I recommend this stop on the N7. And at an unbeatable price, certainly: €16.78 for a motorhome, two people, and electricity.Translating
€16 for two with electricity. Quiet, town five minutes away on foot.Translating
Campsites charging €26, €28, or more for mediocre service have lessons to learn from this campsite, which offers a lower price and better welcome and services than all those money-makers.Translating
Superb unexpected stop beside the N7, close to the town center. Lapalisse is well worth visiting! No road disturbance, beside the river, clearly marked and beautifully wooded pitches, spacious and very clean vintage sanitary facilities, and a playground for young and old. Cécile and Jean-Marc give you a warm welcome. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. FrançoisFloTranslating
Friendly welcome from the new owners. A few improvements and upgrades are still needed. Campsite near the town of Lapalisse, which can be visited on foot. See the castle.Translating
A very pleasant surprise: a clean campsite with very friendly management. We will do it again.Translating
A very pleasant welcome from Jean-Marc and Cécile, the new owners of the campsite for the past few months. Prices are very reasonable. The pitches are spacious and well wooded, and the sanitary facilities are neat and clean. For us, it was an improvised stop on the way back from a long trip. This pleasant, peaceful evening in the cool, beautiful vegetation of the site was wonderfully restful.Translating
A very pleasant, green campsite with an exceptionally friendly welcome. The best part: very spacious showers and very clean sanitary facilities. An essential address! Visit the castle; dogs are allowed on a leash.Translating
