A scenic parking area at the Askhult Halland site, near an old village and a lake. It has a large fire pit, sufficient firewood, a small hut and clean toilets when open. The parking area and approach are steep and notably sloped, although 1-2 van spaces are suitable for sleeping without the same incline. In winter, the area is not cleared and the toilets are closed.

Very beautiful place, large fire pit with enough firewood and a small hut. Toilets are clean. A beautiful old village and a lake are also not far away.
Wonderful place for an evening around the campfire. Plenty of firewood available. Unfortunately, the ground is quite sloped.
Nice parking lot with very clean, open toilets. As described, it is somewhat sloped, but there are one or two parking spaces for vans that are level enough for sleeping.
A lovely little place, but unfortunately in winter neither cleared nor are the toilets open. They should simply mention that.
Unfortunately, the tourist parking lot was completely full. It is also very steep, so leveling ramps are required! The approach is somewhat steep but manageable. We did not check the sanitary facilities and drove on. About 100 meters below the parking lot there is a level area, 30 meters long.
After a day at the Liseberg amusement park, we wanted to get a little farther out of Gothenburg to sleep, so we chose this place. We were traveling with a rooftop tent; it took some maneuvering to stand reasonably level without leveling ramps, but we managed. The night was wonderfully quiet, and the toilet there was wonderfully clean and well maintained, illuminated all night. The open-air museum is not far away.
