2 Plaza de Toros, 10500, Valencia de Alcántara
Been here?
A free motorhome area beside the bullring, central and generally quiet at night. It has 7 marked places, free freshwater and grey- and black-water emptying. The single electricity post has 2 sockets and 1 three-phase socket, but it was not working recently. The area is near cafés, bars and shops, with traffic and early-morning road noise.

Very quiet area and close to the centre. Just across the road there is a churrería. You can park beside it and have hot chocolate with churros for breakfast. Very good, with good service.Translating
Small motorhome area for seven vehicles located behind the bullring. All services work; thank you to the municipality. The old town is charming, with storks on the bell tower. The night is quiet; traffic passes by early in the morning, but it is manageable.Translating
Motorhome area with emptying and filling facilities. We slept one night and it was very peaceful. Seven well-maintained and clean motorhome spaces. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Quiet area, with wastewater services and fresh-water supply. Thank you to the municipality for making this space available.Translating
Nice place right at the stadium. Cute little village with a small supermarket, some cafés and bars. Right beside the main street, so there is traffic. Good overnight stop before the border with Portugal. Safe place.Translating
It has parking, grey-water and wastewater emptying, and water. Very practical, really.Translating
Very well located and quiet at night.Translating
We spent two nights and the area is very quiet. It is inside the village, with bars and supermarkets nearby. There is free drinking water and grey- and black-water service.Translating
Convenient spot. Town nearby. Water and emptying. Road noise.Translating
The spaces are marked but a little short. My 8-metre vehicle had two wheels on the street, but there was no danger because we are in a car park. Free emptying and filling; thank you to the municipality. However, there is a lot of noise in the morning from trucks and buses starting very early.Translating
Very quiet and central area. The road is not bothersome at night. Close to shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a store selling regional meat products.Translating
Very, very noisy; it is right beside the road.Translating
Everything was great: lots of space, shade, almost in the centre, and emptying and filling services as well. Great.Translating
Well-located area beside the bullring, just a few steps from the historic centre. The grey- and black-water emptying area and water supply work well. The spaces are slightly uneven, but leveling blocks solve it. The downside is that it is noisy because it is a bus area, and young people party nearby on weekends. Many thanks to the town council for thinking of motorhome users.Translating
Well located and convenient for stopping, although vehicles drive nearby and may disturb you. The black- and grey-water facilities are conveniently arranged for emptying.Translating
Good for emptying and filling water, but not the best option for sleeping. There is a park next door where groups gather until very late and make a lot of noise without consequences, until 4 a.m. In the morning, the day starts early with cars, emptying and so on.Translating
Absolutely fantastic place to spend the night. Emptying and water supply available. Valencia de Alcántara is a pretty and worthwhile town, especially the tapas bar Bar Corner Calleja, with delicious tapas and wines at unbeatable prices. You’re missing out if you simply drive through here.Translating
Unfortunately used as a bus turning and waiting area. Because of the air conditioning, the engine runs continuously while the bus is here, and that takes a while.Translating
What a shame. We arrived to discover this beautiful village, which has a motorhome area, but found it invaded by cars, so there was no space for motorhomes. Because of a festival, and without prior notice, even the services cannot be used.Translating
Quite good and clean area, beside the bullring, beautiful village, seems quiet. Thanks to the town council.Translating
We spent one night and it was quiet; you only occasionally hear a car on the nearby road. The area is very good for visiting the village and the place is pleasant. We took a route to see the dolmens. For food, we had very tasty and generous portions at a very reasonable price in Bar La Peña.
Nice place, but not the best. The trees should be pruned so that parking is easier.
The service area is very good. There are spaces for spending the night, although many are occupied by cars, and there are trees with branches that make parking difficult. At 6:00 a.m. a bus engine started, and then another at around 8:00 a.m.
For me, this is not a motorhome area. It is true that you can change your water, but if you also want rest and peace, forget it. A place in the centre of a large town, with heavy traffic and also used for fairs, is not designed for us.
We spent one night here. The area is good, very close to the centre of the town and very quiet. We slept wonderfully.
A place to forget... Bus stop opposite. They start their engines an hour early and are 10 metres away. At night, one left at 1:00, starting an hour earlier; another at 5:00. Constantly in the afternoon and morning. It is sad that they have a bus station and use this motorhome parking area. The only good things are the nearby churrería and the village itself. It should be better maintained.
Excellent for spending the night and continuing the journey, with free water but no electricity. It is beside the main road, but at night it is quiet if you stay farther away. Near a garden and restaurants.
The emptying and filling area works, but the water pressure is a little low. The spaces are slightly uneven, but we spent the night without any problem.
Excellent area, with marked spaces. Five minutes from the historic centre and the park. The road is not as noisy as others say. The rubbish trucks make their rounds to empty the bins; without them, people would complain too. It is the only area in the region with services. We are very grateful to the town council. The town deserves a leisurely walk.
