Tigh-na-mara Campsite & Pods

The surroundings looked quite nice, but unfortunately it was closed on September 6, 2025. You only notice this after driving along the single-track road to the gate. The unfriendly neighbor then told us we were not allowed to turn around on her property. We had to drive to the end of the road to turn around and drive all the way back.

A fine campsite with beautiful small beaches. Just call; although all the other campsites in the area were full, we easily got a pitch here. £38 for a motorhome pitch with electricity in the front row overlooking the sea. Apart from water sports, there are no activities here.

Great location and the owner was really nice, just a bit pricey. Really nice toilets and showers. Showers cost £1 for 3 minutes. We stayed 2 nights with electricity for £76.

As most other places are usually full, this is a good alternative in a good location, also for campervans, which can park on the grass. Apart from new sanitary facilities and no electricity for the grass area, there is absolutely no service here or nearby. Bring your own food and drinks! At £36, it is quite expensive, possibly a tourist late-arrival price. Almost only UK visitors here.

One of the few places that allows spontaneous overnight stays with a tent. You must register by phone. Cash only! A woman collected the fee at 10:45 p.m. (!!!). Sanitary facilities: see previous comments. Beautiful beach.

Beautiful site right by the sea. Unfortunately, showering is somewhat annoying and user-unfriendly: you have to pay £1 for 3 minutes in advance, and the shower starts immediately; there is no soap shelf in the shower; and you cannot regulate the water volume or temperature (!). The water tends to be set too hot. None of this has been thought through, and considering the £38 per night, it is outrageous.

Lovely basic campsite right on a beautiful private beach, great for swimming. Remote, quiet and very relaxed. Owner just pops round in the evening to collect cash from everyone. £30 cash for a non-electric grass pitch. Nice new shower block and washing up area. £1 for a 3 min hot shower.

A slice of heaven: a beautiful, peaceful, family-run site with modern facilities perfect for this location. Stunning views of the Isle of Skye, stunning white sands on a privately accessible beach, and perfect water for swimming, paddleboarding and canoeing. A 15–20-minute walk to idyllic Arisaig village. Honestly, a clean campsite. We are here, and you can drive onto the grass with cars and tents. The owner usually comes by around 7 p.m. to collect payment. The shower costs £1; no 50p coins, etc.—the machine only accepts £1 coins. The showers and toilets were clean, with toilet paper.

Good things first. Quiet location nice clean beach. things that would make the stay nicer showers a little less hot way to warm for children, no hot water for fish washing, no bins in the dish washing room, tap to refil water tanks in a bad location, no toilet rolls in the toilets.

Probably one of the worst campsites in Scotland. There is no reception: you have to call for someone to come and charge us £30 for two people with a van without electricity. Showers cost extra (£1 for 3 minutes). Showers and toilets are very dirty. Quite noisy in the evening and pitches are packed together—the goal is clearly to fit in as many people as possible. Finally, the ground is only moderately level, with potholes.

Small campsite. Also large camping field. Paid £33 per night for a camper van EHU pitch, £29 without EHU. Sea/mountain views are stunning and it has a lovely simple, relaxed atmosphere. New toilet/shower block is now in use, which sounds like a big improvement on what was before. Showers £1 for 3 minutes. Toilets clean but often run out of toilet paper and there is a lack of bins on the site.
