5A Mühlenweg, 18292, Kuchelmiß
Been here?
Large parking lot beside a historic watermill, in a quiet rural setting near walking routes. Overnight stays are described as permitted for restoring driving ability, although one report says public-order officers ordered visitors away. The lot is sloping, with no water, waste bins, lighting or electricity, and is also used by trucks.

We stayed here for one night without any problems. It is slightly sloped, which did not bother us. No water or waste disposal, no bins, and no lighting. Please take your rubbish with you so this place does not also get closed. Do not behave as if camping; it is a parking area! Please also do not dump gray water—this should be obvious, but apparently it is not.
Quiet parking area on the edge of the hiking area.
Very quiet and secluded parking area. To keep it available for us campers, please take your rubbish with you and dispose of it in the appropriate bins along the way.
Perfect for breakfast, a break, or walking the dog.
We arrived here late at night, around 1:30 a.m. Another motorhome was already there. In the morning we went for a walk, which was very pleasant, and drove on around 11:45. Everything was hassle-free and the night was very quiet. Walkers and drivers were all very friendly. For shopping, coffee, or a snack, the Frischmarkt in Kuchelmiß is highly recommended, as is a walk there. No camping behavior.
Unfortunately, not recommended! We arrived after the ferry at around 8 p.m. Five minutes later, the local authorities were already at the motorhome door! Despite the missing prohibition sign, we were told to leave, with a threat that they would remind us again during the night if necessary. Naturally, we moved on. Also, there were very many mosquitoes!
Good location, close to the motorway and very quiet. However, it is very steep and also a truck stop; we spent the night here with three trucks.
It is a large parking area that slopes considerably. It is advisable to bring two leveling ramps to compensate for the incline. No bin. No lighting at night. Very quiet at night.
A basic large parking area, very quiet at night. Very pleasant for a stopover.
Quiet and sloped, as all the previous reviews have said. No bin, electricity, etc. But it is quiet.
A really nice place to stop after or before the Rostock ferry. An extremely quiet night, in the countryside and very close to the motorway exit.
Pleasant, rarely visited parking area with a slope; only at the very bottom is it fairly level for one motorhome. About 60 km from the ferry. Walks in the countryside are possible.
Excellent parking area for a stopover—quiet, large, but somewhat sloped. The café is open Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from noon, though unfortunately we could not try it. Nice walking paths.
