A small, level parking bay near the Altmühl, with shade and a seating area beside the cycle path. It is directly beside the federal road, so passing cars can be heard, including at night. The space is suitable for a camper and two further vehicles, and overnight parking is free. Mosquitoes and small flies can be numerous, and processionary caterpillars may occur in July.

We stayed in the parking bay as a last resort after overnight campers were banned at Kratzmühle. You can hear passing cars. There were many mosquitoes and small flies. There is a seating area between the parking lot and the cycle path. We did not see any oak processionary caterpillars.Translating
There is enough space for my van and two more. The ground is level and there is shade. I don't want to sit outside, just spend the night and have peace and quiet. The few cars at night did not bother me. Neither did the oak processionary caterpillar, for that matter; as I said, I am not camping. It would be a beautiful place, but unfortunately in July the processionary caterpillar lives there and does not want to be disturbed! It is also stated on the sign! We only took a short break there. Directly on the main road!Translating
