35 Marine Drive, EH4 5EN, Edinburgh
Been here?
A clean, modern and well-organised campsite with large, mostly level pitches, warm showers and friendly staff. A recent stay cost 64 Euro, even with an ADAC discount of 15 Pfund. It lies in an airport flight path, with aircraft noise during the day and evening but none at night. Edinburgh city centre is accessible by bus, while cycling takes 35 minutes on broad cycle paths.

Everything is in perfect order here; there is nothing to criticize. I am not deducting a star for the aircraft noise, since you are out during the day anyway. Clear recommendation, and the price—we are in Edinburgh, not in "somewhere"! Clear recommendation!Translating
Neat, clean, hot showers, very nice staff, but far too expensive—even with an ADAC card (15 pounds discount!?), we paid 64 euros. The planes are loud. There are good, wide cycle paths into the city; 35 minutes.Translating
The campsite is very good. Very clean, all services, playground… I give it 4 stars because it is near the airport and you frequently hear and see planes taking off.Translating
An exceptionally well-maintained campsite! Everything is modern, very clean and perfectly organized. The grounds are tidy and the clear rules ensure a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. The site is an ideal base for visiting Edinburgh. You can easily get into the city by bus. We felt very comfortable here and would come back anytime. Clear recommendation!Translating
Super nice campsite with friendly staff. It is under the airport flight path, so some people may find that bothersome. No planes fly at night, but there are flights in the morning and evening. Spotless facilities and lovely pitches.Translating
We spent three nights here while sightseeing in Edinburgh. The sanitary facilities were very clean and modern, the pitches fairly large and the staff very friendly. Of course more expensive than other sites, but it is right in the city and you can quickly reach the city center by bus. Everything worked for us.Translating
Visit: early July 2026, two nights Reason: city trip to Edinburgh Great campsite outside the city center. The site was about three-quarters full. Very friendly, helpful team. We could choose our own pitch: large, level, gravel pitches with some grass. The washroom seemed brand new and was always clean. Dog- and child-friendly. You can walk to the city, about 15 minutes to the nearest bus stop. By bus, New Town is about 30 minutes away. For us, it was a perfect 100%, without hesitation.Translating
nice place. new and Clean facilities. Very friendly and helpful staffTranslating
Miserable service: if you have paid and arrive after 8 p.m., you are left outside and cannot enter the site before 9 a.m. So if you need to move the camper the next day, you have paid £70 for nothing and the gray-water tank is still full. Instead of helping, the "hosts" insist on the rules and explain that it is not their problem.Translating
For information, it is no longer possible to access the services only.Translating
The perfect site in Edinburgh! Super clean! Large, level pitches, perfect service. Price as a member: £41 per night for two people, including electricity. At weekends, hardly any chance of getting a pitch without a reservation. Very quiet at the rear, some traffic by the road, completely quiet at night. Increased air traffic at weekends.Translating
Best campsite I have seen so far!Translating
Very clean, well organized, and friendly, helpful management. In terms of comfort, one of the best sites I know—at least six stars! Unfortunately too far from the bus stop and restaurants, and above all there was massive aircraft noise all night, so unfortunately I would never go there again!Translating
Great site, highly recommended for visiting Edinburgh. Bus nearby (10 minutes), number 27. Luxurious sanitary facilities, but also somewhat expensive.Translating
The site is spotlessly clean, almost sterile. Showers and everything else are good. The staff are unfriendly, especially if you arrive before 1 p.m.; they send you away! There is no "hello" culture on this site!Translating
A very clean and orderly site with clean pitches and exemplary sanitary facilities. One could criticize the price and the aircraft from the nearby airport. But that is not enough to deduct even one point.Translating
A really lovely campsite with very friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and excellent service facilities. It is ideal for anyone who wants to visit Edinburgh. Tip: Taking an Uber from the campsite to the city centre turned out to be cheaper than using public transport. If we’re ever in the area again, we’d be happy to come back.Translating
Usual high standards of C&MC site. £35 a night. Quite noisy as it is under the flight path but it quietens down at night. Chose uber into Edinburgh to avoid the walk to the bus stop which felt a bit dark and a little unsafe at night. £9.00. Translating
We spent two nights here in a camper van. Pleasant welcome, and the facilities are clean. There is a family shower room, which is a real plus when traveling with children. The price was similar to other campsites where we have stayed. For information, you need to walk a good 15–20 minutes to reach the bus line that goes into the city center.Translating
Services only, without staying the night, are only for rented campers. Very strange policyTranslating
We came here just to empty the black and gray water tanks; great welcome, they are kind. Emptying costs about £10 if you come only for that.Translating
Campsite located in the suburbs of Edinburgh (10 minutes to the bus stop, then 20 minutes by bus to the historic center). Very pleasant welcome, large, level gravel pitches. Modern and very clean facilities. Chemical toilet disposal point, very clean and cleaned every day. It lacks a pub or restaurant on site because it is quite isolated and far from everything on foot.Translating
Very well-maintained and clean campsite, friendly reception. Conveniently located for the city center and also the beach. Theft on the site is mentioned. We felt very comfortable and safe.Translating
