Free motorhome area, steep access

Thank you for the beautiful, quiet spot and the wonderful swimming pool!

Unfortunately unusable these days. The steep access road at the end is icy and has not been cleared, so the site cannot be reached. The site itself is also completely snow-covered and uncleared. Otherwise, it would certainly be a pleasant and quiet overnight spot.

Nice motorhome stop, quiet and very close to the genuinely beautiful outdoor pool (evening rate from 5 p.m.: €2.50).

Very quiet night. Thank you for this free site with access to electricity, payable by card or cash. You can use the toilets and empty waste tanks at the campsite right next door for €6.50. Thank you!

Dreamlike, pure nature and peace. Thanks to the town. Card-operated electricity is perfect. I understand why no rubbish bin has been installed. As a result, it is very clean.

We are back here now. There are 12 electricity connections. According to the notice, the mentioned cash payment is only possible until April 2025. Otherwise, there are parking regulations. It is a shame that no rubbish bin was installed at the same time. The road through the town is still closed, and the residents make access even more difficult. Many thanks to the municipality.

The site is in the middle of nature and especially quiet. Beautifully located high above Meiningen. Perfectly suited for hikes and bike tours. Two kilometers to the center.

Very convenient site, not far from the town center, with the option of electricity. Being able to use the campsite's well-maintained sanitary facilities for a small fee is wonderful. It is also close to the swimming pool, with uncomplicated key collection there.

The road through Meiningen is currently closed, according to locals for about a year. It is therefore best to approach from Meiningen Nord. Following the southern detour does work, but it passes through an underpass with a height limit of 3.4 m.

普通 quiet motorhome site with electricity (good!), otherwise nothing. Satellite reception is partly possible. Access is straightforward, just a little steep. No view.

Good site; we were there with six other motorhomes. Nice and quiet, and you feel very safe. However, there is a sign directly in front of the entrance saying that only guests of “Rohrer Stein” may park there.

Wonderfully quiet, with beautiful walking paths, also suitable for dog owners. The approach is signposted, but the final section is somewhat confusingly marked with no-entry signs.

Quiet, level, and officially permitted—what more could you want? Perfect for an overnight stay while passing through. The approach is signposted and easy, though it may be tight for very large motorhomes. The rear end of the site, near the electricity post, is weakly lit; otherwise it is dark. We felt very comfortable and safe.
