Rua José Afonso, Aveiro
Been here?
A free, unpaved parking area along the river, shared with cars and close to Aveiro’s canals. The city centre is about 10 minutes away on foot, making it convenient for visiting the city. It is generally quiet for overnight stays, although the area can fill with vehicles during the day. There are no motorhome services, and the access involves climbing the kerb.

The place is fine. Convenient for exploring Aveiro. Access is somewhat complicated, but you just have to drive over the curb.
The parking area is unpaved, surrounded by houses, in a quiet residential area near the canals. The center is a 10-minute walk along the canals. There were not many motorhomes staying overnight, but we slept peacefully without problems.
Large place to park; we spent the night to visit the city. Shared with cars. No services.
Dirt parking area shared with cars. Spacious and convenient place to visit the city when the designated area is full.
When there is no room in the motorhome area by the train station, this is the closest and most central place to stop. Clay dirt surface; if it rains, it may be better not to enter. Many potholes, but if you can park, you can spend the night without problems and it is very quiet. A short walk from the town hall and 15 minutes from the center. Public bicycles are 100 m away.
Parking area surrounded by modern residential and commercial buildings. Old town within walking distance. I parked here with the camper only for a short visit to Aveiro, but an overnight stay is conceivable.
We stayed safely here for half the afternoon while visiting the city center and doing our laundry. P5 and the other nearby spaces were occupied, so we chose this place.
We spent one quiet night, with the center 10–15 minutes away. Perfect for visiting Aveiro; during the day it fills up with vehicles.
A very well-located parking area for visiting the tourist attractions, and close to the ASA where the services are available.
Good parking area for Aveiro! Spacious and with easy access. At the beginning of the cycle path.
Good location for visiting the city. We spent one night there. At first there was a lot of activity from people, cars and the garbage truck, but later it quieted down and we were able to rest alongside three other caravans. No dumping or water-filling facilities.
Very nice place to visit the city, just 10 minutes on foot. It is really great.
The P5 parking area was full, so we had to go there. We spent one night; it was quiet, although unpaved, in the middle of a residential area. You can walk to the center through the excellent park surrounding the canal. There is a supermarket right behind it, and the bus and train stations are a 5-minute walk away.
We did not park here, but at P5. We walked past and saw that it was great for parking and seeing the city: very spacious and closer than the P5 motorhome area. So if P5 is full, this is a good option.
When we arrived, there was a huge puddle that made more than half the parking area unusable. The rest of the parking area was very uneven. We did not like this location much.
Perfect for visiting the city; the center is less than 10 minutes away. However, I do not think I would sleep there.
Very centrally located for a city stroll. Free and without services.
Parking very close to the tourist area, just a few minutes' walk away. We did not spend the night.
Very close to the center. Construction is now finished, with no noise. Quiet and safe neighborhood.
Ideal parking area for visiting the city. It is level. It may be quiet at night.
Perfect for parking and enjoying Aveiro. Very close to a canal which, if you follow it, takes you to the center on foot. We did not sleep there.
There is plenty of space to park. Some local women recommended going to the other parking area nearby for safety and peace of mind.
Very convenient for visiting Aveiro, two or three minutes from a boarding quay for a canal tour. Aveiro is a very small city, with two or three waterways and a few Art Nouveau houses, certainly, but no masterpieces.
If you arrive at the right time, perhaps okay. A large property almost in the middle of the city, and packed full. There is a high risk that cars will block in the motorhome.
