Camping le Bois Vert****

All the comfort expected at a campsite. Clean and well maintained. A little far from the town centre. The fastest way to get there is via the leisure centre.

Charming welcome, perfectly adequate facilities, and very peaceful this season. The managers are delightful.

Nice campsite, good showers, clean toilets and lovely pool. Great sized grass pitches although the hedges could do with trimming. Take away pizza and fish and chips available. By a lake and a 25 minute walk to the town, lots of closed shops, a few bars. medieval old town and castle ruins. Worth a look if you are passing by not really worth a detour IMHO. Supermarkets on outskirts of town.

Stayed 2x nights, 15/16th June 2026. €18.98 per night with ACSI. Would have rated 5 * but swimming pool not available / not yet open. Able to choose own pitch (6) Grass pitches, with hedges, all very well maintained. Toilet facilities all very clean, plentiful hot water, showers ok. Parthenay centre only a short walk away (20 mins) Beautiful park / river / small lake immediately next to site.

Lovely campsite, beautiful peaceful pitch, individual water and electricity hookup, pleasant pool. Sanitary facilities closed from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.???? €30 per night is too expensive.

We stopped here on the way to Normandy. During the August heatwave, we made use of the swimming pool. Suitable for one night.

The price is too high for the service provided. In fact, the campsite is almost empty on this 6 August. The welcome was curt, and the opening hours are like those of a government office. The pool was cold. Dear campsite owner, please understand that by definition a camper is free-spirited, so a little more flexibility would be appreciated. Price for one motorhome, one person and electricity: €28.94. Outrageous!

Beautiful campsite, excellent welcome, very accommodating. The ordered bread is great, the pool is very good, and take a tour of the town—an assisted bicycle is recommended. TNT works, sanitary facilities are clean. Perfect.

Very pretty, green campsite; the owners are accommodating and principled. Very good sanitary facilities, hot water, pitches, pool, and a clean disposal area set apart. We planned one night and stayed three. A somewhat busy road on one side, and a beautiful walk along the river on the other. Very reasonable ACSI rate; the €4 per day per animal is unjustified. PS: sbarriere: you cannot arrive at 8 p.m. without calling beforehand.

Before the time, it is not time; after the time, neither! We arrived at 8 p.m. and went to see the caretaker, who rather unkindly told us it had been closed since 7 p.m. and that late arrivals cost an extra €40—all for one night in a campsite that seemed fairly empty. Fellow motorhome travellers, move on!

Beautiful, clean campsite with a friendly welcome. Near a lake and a greenway; Parthenay is very pretty and worth seeing.

Campsite with very large, quiet pitches. The sanitary facilities are clean, and it is close to the river and Parthenay.

Good campsite, but €27.50 per night for one motorhome and two people is expensive.

Beautiful, spacious and peaceful campsite. Many shady pitches. Lovely town, with the historic centre about 15 minutes away by bicycle. It is also nice that you do not have to walk over visitors’ heads, so you can admire all the historic sites in their full glory. Bakery about 400 metres away and supermarket just under 2 kilometres away. The sanitary facilities are kept very clean, and there is a lovely pool.

Welcome, services, heated sanitary facilities... very good campsite, €24.50 per night all included.

Spent two night here mid October. Great for access to the town which is interesting but pretty quiet out of season. Clean with good facilities and quiet next to the river.

Stunning site, large private pitches, spotlessly clean toilets and showers. 15 min flat walk to incredible medieval town of Parthenay with lots of restaurants and bars alongside beautiful fortifications and historic sites.
