Avenida Doutor Francisco Pires Gonçalves, 4705, Braga
Been here?
A free public park about 600 meters from Braga’s historical center, with plenty of summer shade. Many spaces are inclined, and unofficial parking attendants may persistently request money. Traffic, people, and nearby activity can create noise until 00:00, while automatic irrigation may spray vehicles at 2 h. Tuesday markets, June festivities, and occasional weekend mass at 9:30 can complicate access or parking.

I have stopped here many times, but the parking attendants are becoming annoying; they are always asking for things. Most of the parking spaces are sloped. There is noise from people until midnight. At weekends there may be a Mass at 9:30 a.m.
when we arrived the unofficial parking attendants are very persistent about getting money from you. We didn't pay saying we don't speak Portuguese and they kept asking random people if they spoke English to translate. They eventually gave up. In the night we had people knocking on the door asking for money. There are lots of people hanging around at night and being noisy. This is one to avoid.
The place is quite good: shade, very close to the centre and level spaces. The only bad thing is the illegal parking attendants, who almost force you to give them money.
Spent one night in a van. Being close to the city center is an advantage, but traffic noise on the nearby boulevard and the automatic sprinklers turning on at 2 a.m. and spraying the vehicle are annoying.
We were able to park our motorhome here comfortably. The cars are shaded under the trees and access is very easy. Great if you want to visit the city for a few hours.
Car parking for access to the city center. Not suitable at all for motorhomes over 6 meters. The attendant directs you to park, but if cars park in front of you, it is impossible to get out. Avoid.
Convenient for going to the city center. An attendant guides you while maneuvering; we gave him €1. We did not sleep there.
Pleasant welcome and good advice; decent municipal campground with access to the municipal swimming pool.
Very busy and narrow parking lot, with parking attendants. On Tuesdays there is an early-morning market and it becomes difficult to leave. Close to the center.
Excellent place to spend the night, close to the center. Many spaces when I arrived on Sunday early afternoon, but full on Monday morning.
June 18, 2025: beware, a fair is set up in the parking lot: the São João festivities run from June 17 to 24, 2025.
We parked here to visit the city. The open area is well located. It is true that it is not level, but that was not a problem for us. There was a parking attendant and we gave him a few euros so we could stay peacefully. He was gone when we returned.
A strange guy came around the camper immediately after we parked. We parked somewhere else right away. It did not feel safe.
Uneven parking lot with very difficult access for motorhomes except when there are few vehicles. A good option for campers to spend a quiet night.
Small, chaotic, uneven parking lot. If you like adventure and want to sleep near the center, it is fine. Since there is no camper area, if you want to sleep peacefully, the sanctuary parking lot is better.
We arrived around 10 p.m. and everything was occupied. Very small for motorhomes over 7 meters.
We spent one night in this parking lot. We were woken in the middle of the night by fights between homeless people and did not feel very reassured, but everything went well. The parking lot is very well located for visiting the beautiful city.
It went very well for us. We arrived at night, parked, and had a very peaceful night. The park is very pleasant and very close to the center. There is a parking attendant to whom you should give a tip, but everything was fine.
Impossible to park in the morning; it is packed with cars. What a shame.
