Been here?
Forest parking area beside Hiidenvuori and a lake, with a larger camping field further down near the water. Dry toilets and firewood are available, but the barbecue shelter burned down on 4.6.2025. The access road to the field is steep in places, and the area can have busy traffic despite quiet nights.

We spent the night on the large field, alone in the world. It was very quiet, especially in the morning with the birds. There are dry toilets and firewood.Translating
If you are looking for a busy forest parking area, you have come to exactly the right place!Translating
❗️The fire shelter/grill hut burned down on 4 June 2025❗️ We drove past the official parking area down onto the meadow. The road is steep in places, so be careful if your vehicle has a long rear overhang. Toilets are available and the location is peaceful. Please always extinguish fires carefully and add wood chips to the dry toilet after use, if available. The scenery at Hiidenvuori is worth seeing.Translating
Space. Toilet and campfire a short distance away, not right next to the parking area. Busy traffic. An absolutely terrible road to drive on, so we will not come a second time by motorhome.Translating
What a beautiful place. It is dead quiet at night. We were there at the weekend and more people enjoyed the area. Most left at the end of the day. Compost toilets by the field, where you can dispose of organic waste and, after using the toilet, throw the provided compost from a bag onto the waste. Go up at sunset—it is so beautiful.Translating
Large parking field. You can reach the water via the jetty 200 meters farther on. The jetty was well used by local boat owners when we were there. The fire pit was also in use, so we were not alone.Translating
Wonderful, close to nature, and it is hard to get closer to the lake. In summer the trees have leaves, so the lake view is limited. Be sure to take a walk to Hiidenvuori. The view from the top is breathtaking.Translating
Great place! Beach, toilets, fireplace. Lots of space to park. Hike to Hiidenvuori takes 10-15min and its really worth it, the scenery is great.
Worst spot in terms of mosquitoes. But otherwise it's super quiet, you have a nice view, a nice path up a big rock to hike, and nearby easy access to a swimming beach. Toilets were very well kept. There are some hikers during the day, but they don't pass this spot directly. Disclaimer: drive the path further down from the main parking spot onto the big field.
