Daytime beach parking, overnight prohibited

It must be the beginning of high season, because the police asked all the motorhomes, including me—I am an L1H2 van—to leave the nearby parking area of the old station in the middle of the afternoon.

We were there two years ago and it was a wonderful, fantastic place. Unfortunately, there are also campers among us who have no manners at all and dump a lot there or think they are at a campsite and set up everything possible. The police now keep coming by and chasing the campers away; with us they were very friendly.

We have visited this place several times and were surprised that it is now marked only as a day parking area, because one of our favorite tavernas in the Peloponnese is nearby. To be safe, we asked the taverna owner whether we were allowed to spend the night here. He explicitly said yes, adding that camping behavior is not allowed—then everything is fine.

A parking area at the end of the village. Level spaces directly by the sea. Good restaurants within sight. Spending the night without camping behavior is not a problem.

This place and the whole area are currently being regularly cleared by the police, including €300 fines. Apparently there were too many campers. Status: May–June 2025.

The most beautiful place on the road, very close to the main road and clean

Regarding cassette-toilet disposal at the beach, I know only one answer: a separating toilet. I have been traveling with my separating toilet for years, without harming the environment in any way.

Nice day parking area. Unfortunately, campers repeatedly think they can spend the night here, and they dispose of their cassettes on the beach. Now they have shut off the water at the cemetery. Even in the tavernas, we are becoming increasingly unpopular.

Parking by the sea; the beach is gravel and there are rocks in the water. I thought it would be better. The only positive thing is that turtles come to nest.

In July, there were many campers, but there are enough spaces. The parking area is elevated above the beach and has a breathtaking view. There are numerous turtle nesting sites, and the beach is pebbly, so reef shoes would be ideal. Nearby there are tavernas and restaurants where you can eat or get takeaway. No toilet disposal. Water for filling up or washing is available at the cemetery.

A great spot for our lunch break, but indeed there are many motorhomes with tables and other things outside, so we should respect these places where parking is allowed before they are prohibited to us.

A beautiful place, but full of people with chairs and tables outside, awning, etc. I don't know why the police accepts this.

Park up was fab, it’s a popular place with many campers but we enjoyed all the same, some people are more friendly than others… but we had a great time and would return without hesitation!

Long, narrow site with many campers. But beware! My dog ate poison at the cemetery and survived only because we immediately went to the vet!

Total campsite atmosphere. Packed tightly together, with some people even on the opposite “meadow.” Far too crowded. And if you are already there, dear people, at least visit the adjoining tavernas so the locals get something out of the fact that you are occupying everything!

!!! Please note !!! No toilet emptying at the train station!!! This is a tavern, not a public toilet or emptying station. The tavern owner has to pay to have the toilet emptied, and she is not very happy about it.

The police come by and move you on if you are camping. Shame on those who “reserve” their place by leaving their stuff there when they go out... honestly, go to a campsite for that. Please do not empty your gray water!! It is because of people like this that the police and locals are becoming less tolerant of campers...

The place was very nice, but towards evening the police arrived, very unfriendly, and said we were not welcome here and had to leave within an hour. There were no signs saying that parking was prohibited.

Quiet place, somewhat steep beach, clear water, usually many locals, and normally the police do not bother you. In recent days, following an incident in which a child went missing, the police have come every evening and advised us to leave, threatening a fine if they found us there the next day. Before that there was no problem. It will probably be forgotten in the next few days.

Free parking under the trees, right by the sea, safe place also frequented by locals. A unique experience to see the turtle eggs hatch and watch them reach the sea at dawn. Shower available at the nearby bar.

Excellent place, the homeland of lawlessness. Watch out for the turtles!

We cannot consider it good: the beach is only stones, and getting a place requires luck. On the other side, where the bar is, it is very dirty. The residents are very helpful. That earns the third star.

Beautiful beach with many turtle nests and many campers, as always. Showers on the beach at the two nearby beach clubs. Attention! The water at the cemetery is closed, but there is a water point at the tavern at the end of the parking area, and it is not possible to empty the cassette at the old station.
