Camper parking, currently closed

Camper vans forbidden.

There are so many campers that it is simply dangerous. Most of them are also particularly unfriendly. In the end, we parked a little farther on, near the Kiwi, in a normal parking area where fortunately some nice people were staying. Exactly behind the playground with toilets.

Great spot, and it is wonderful that it is still tolerated. Our youngster had lots of fun in the playground, especially on the trampoline. The area gets very crowded with parking, even though the prescribed spacing is maintained. But the night was quiet. Clean toilets; you just have to give the doors enough time to open with the button, and they close automatically.

As already mentioned, the original motorhome area is closed. There are still four spaces by the toilet building. Parking on the grass verge along the road was also tolerated last night. The fire brigade did warn about the drought and fire risk because of the old wooden village. There are two clean toilets. Keep at least 5 meters from your neighbor; this is sometimes strictly enforced.

We first parked near the toilet and water facilities, along with four other campers. The fire brigade kindly asked us not to stay overnight. This parking area is for people who want to use the toilet or eat something briefly. We were allowed to park across the road, with the familiar 4-meter gap between us. There is no room there for ten campers.

There is room for 12 cars, with many picnic tables. There are clean, free toilets and fresh drinking water with a long hose reaching toward the parking area.

Great place to stop for the night. flat and quiet through the night. some cars in evening and morning.

As of today, only four authorized spaces in front of the pond under the trees. No services, but convenient and quiet enough for a stop while traveling. Interesting hiking trails and the fjord beach start nearby; during the day there are many camper spaces in the nearby parking area.

Called here today. There was a farmer’s market on in the village. Marshalls and a Vipps sign on entry. I explained I couldn’t use Vipps as a tourist and asked them if ok to stay. They said others had so ok without paying. I had a wander round and only later noticed the “no motorhomes” sign. I moved on to the lay-by just beyond the ferry

Open and airy, with a maximum of five spaces at 6.50 meters.

The site was level but directly beside the road. The road is fairly busy, especially with young people playing very loud music. The parking spaces are rather small; our 7 m motorhome was too long. It is also a very windy location. We would not sleep there again and would drive farther next time.

The tap seems to be broken. In any case, no water comes out.
