Wonderful Camping

Camping that could do with a refresh; we are far from wonderful... Sanitary facilities are adequate with toilet paper. Shower needs renovation, but the water is hot and the pressure is acceptable. Pedal boats are available on the small lake below. You have to put up with the houses above playing music at full volume. Electricity is sufficient to run the motorhome air conditioning. Wi-Fi is really poor. €20 per night.✦Translating

Wonderful Camping? The name is not representative at all. View of a landfill and rubbish-strewn paths. No toilet paper or soap in the toilets. The sanitary facilities are very poor and are not cleaned. Fuel is being stored by the canister-load?! Prices are relatively high for this dump.✦Translating

Beautiful place in a very nice location. Friendly welcome, even though we were the only ones there on New Year's Eve. The facilities are in the Albanian style: poorly finished and not clean. The shower water is warm, but not for very long. €20 for two people with electricity.✦Translating

The campsite was very quiet. The owner was very friendly and apologized for the cold water; this morning it was pleasantly warm. However, there was no possibility of washing clothes, only showering. The sinks would be suitable for laundry but not for dishes. The pitches were clean and spacious, but the bins were overflowing. The site is quite far from the sea.✦Translating

A campsite located beside a small lake. The campsite has a beautiful view. The place is surrounded by trees and flowers, and in the evening the many lights create a magical atmosphere. This was one of the most beautiful campsites we have visited. We highly recommend it.✦Translating

The wonderful campsite. We stayed there for one night and everything was perfect. When we arrived at the campsite, a little girl welcomed us and showed us everything about the site. We really liked the hospitality, so we are thinking of coming back.✦Translating

I chose the site because of its supposed tranquillity. In the house above the campsite, drilling and hammering continued until well after 10 p.m.; at night dogs bark and early in the morning the rooster crows. I have seen better sanitary facilities in Albania. The operators were very friendly and accommodating, and Durrës can be reached quite easily by bicycle. Three stars for that.✦Translating

Beautiful, quiet place to visit Durrës with all facilities. Everything is tidy. The owners are super friendly. We also had our camper washed at the campsite's car wash. We were given free coffee and pomegranates while waiting. Our camper looked like new. Definitely a place to recommend.✦Translating

An oasis on the edge of the city describes it quite well. Toilets and showers are good, though not optimally designed, as part of the area quickly floods. That could certainly be improved. The water even comes out almost hot. There are also sinks for washing dishes. The pitches themselves are nice, and each has electricity. Very friendly staff; worth one star to me.✦Translating

Beautiful site, ideal for visiting Durrës. At night the lighting is wonderful, and the staff are very friendly. They let us leave late on the last day to catch the ferry. The only drawback is that the bathrooms are old, although clean; they have no locks and showering floods everything.✦Translating

Four stars for the campsite—here is why: the toilet doors do not close, which is annoying; there is only one sink for washing dishes and no sink for washing hands. An extra star is for their wonderful hospitality: they are very friendly and helpful, and everything can be achieved with little effort.✦Translating

Quiet place, good for relaxing, with very nice hosts. Whether you can really swim in the lake is questionable. There is an inflatable pool instead. The sanitary facilities could be a little cleaner.✦Translating

Absolutely top camping spot. The family who run this place are SUPER friendly. We spent 2 wonderfully quiet nights here on the shore of the lake with the fairy lights to guide us on our nightly walk. There are two free washing machines, a big bonus, AND the owners run a car wash facility at the camp entrance.... so we were able to give the camper a MUCH needed wash. Don't hesitate to come here.

The place is beautiful and very clean, and the hosts are also very nice and cheerful. What I did not like were the toilets, because none of the doors close, which was very uncomfortable. Only the sink is properly positioned. Overall, however, we were very satisfied again.✦Translating

Very friendly owner, very nice large pitches, covered, and each pitch has electricity, with a view of the lake, which is difficult to access. Negatives: showers and toilets should be cleaned more often; toilet emptying should be improved, as there is only a drainpipe coming out of the ground. Access to the lake is almost impossible.

Very large grounds, pitch with water, electricity and waste disposal for €20. Shower, toilet, washing machine (free). Very pleasant welcome. The showers and sanitary facilities are not very clean, but adequate for washing.

Wonderful place and truly exceptional owner—friendly and helpful. A tip: come with transport such as bicycles or a scooter so you can get around more easily. We will definitely return.

Quiet campsite; we were the only ones there last night. No worries that you won't find a place here. Today we cycled from the site to Durrës. A bit of climbing and some attention, then you get there easily. Showers are hot but somewhat ‘Albanian’. The floor is not level, but hey, who cares. Wonderfully peaceful.

It was a pleasant stay; the welcome was very warm and extremely friendly. The Durrës promenade can be reached by bicycle within 5 km. The campsite is more suitable for one night, as it is very remote. The sanitary facilities were extremely unhygienic, although we were allowed to use the washing machine for free.
