Route Forestière des Chasses Marées, 62340, Guines
Been here?
Three-pitch forest-edge spot at Forêt de Guînes entrance with picnic tables and flat ground. Free (no services). Quiet overnight but day-time hikers pass through; distant trains audible but unobtrusive. Narrow asphalt access (better via Bouquehault); motorhomes up to 7.5m manage but clearance is tight. Good shade under mature trees; excellent for walkers heading into the forest.

Perfect, quiet, clean. Has a picnic table. Great walks right there, a few cyclists and walkers. Silent overnight. You can sometimes hear trains in the distance but didn’t bother me
Perfect, ideal spot for spending the night.
We’re an under 8m motorhome and made it along the rutted dirt track ok on a hot dry day in June. Wed booked a campsite not far away but it wasn’t suitable so we tried here instead. I have to say that the birds are singing, the sun is shining, there is no one else here apart from some super friendly walkers and cyclists. It’s in my opinion a gem of a park up and I’m surrounded with a feeling of calm and serenity
Long live nature and peace! We spent an excellent night.
Practically perfect place, quiet, in the French countryside, at the start of some beautiful walks. A few rare trains in the distance. A couple of picnic tables. No large motorhomes. Three spaces.
Very calm and beautiful place, we stayed here with 2 cars and a tent. Some hikers in the morning but no passing trafic. You can hear the traintracks a little bit but it didn't bother us. The big trees offer nice shade when necessary. Highly recommend!
Quiet night. A few vans, presumably coming from or going to Calais like us. Very good stopover. Come via the asphalt road from Bouquehault. We will return.
Very nice spot, easily accessible with a 7.5 m motorhome. Flat ground. A train passes in the distance but it is not disturbing for sleeping. Large trees provide shade and there are a few picnic tables. A few cars came in the morning to go hiking, but not before 8 a.m. The place is excellent.
Perfect place for one night before the ferry to Dover. No services, apart from the two picnic tables. Unfortunately, the surroundings are covered in dog mess. I have great difficulty understanding the behavior of some campers. The asphalt access road is very narrow. Passing another vehicle is impossible. 5G.
Very good spot for sleeping, little traffic, quiet all night. Shaded by trees, ideal in hot weather. Wooden table available.
Great spot, peaceful. Occasionally a train passes in the distance but nothing disturbing. Be aware that one access road is less practical than the other; it is best to come from Bouquehault. Spaces available for several motorhomes.
Very nice spot for the night, few dog walkers but very quiet. The spot further up has better views but is exposed in windy weather. Perfect
Lovely quiet spot with miles of good walks for dog.
Quiet and peaceful. Flat and plenty of room to turn round.
We arrived here to get the ferry back to the UK, initially everything was fine until the night when a motorbike came in revving loudly. Then around midnight, two really loud (we assume grouse hunting) gunshots went off in the woods which was pretty terrifying and then again at 3am. Also a puncture on the way out from potholes. Such a shame as it seemed like an ideal place!
Arrived on the last and late ferry in Calais, then drove in the middle of the night 25 minutes to this spot. An interesting drive… Just when you think there's nothing, you arrive at this beautiful and peaceful place.
Another very good spot for a road trip, calm and peaceful. Trains in the distance, but nothing really disturbing, and nothing at night. Three tables available, but we are alone. Walkers in the morning, but not before 8:30, unlike in Holland where they walk their dogs at 6:30, or worse in Denmark where the sun never really sets.
Great spot. Nice and calm. Be sure to approach from the town of Boucqehault, otherwise you'll end up on a very narrow dirt road.
Great, clean spot under large trees. Sunrise was gorgeous and we loved the forest for walking our dog.
Lovely, quiet, spacious spot. Theres a couple of park benches for having dinner or breakfast. Nice view of Calais. Slightly sloping though.
Peaceful place where we spent a pleasant night, lulled by the hooting of the owl. A few discreet walkers in the morning, and trains passing nearby but not disturbing us at night. Great spot, worth preserving!
Really nice parking set in the forest. Good walks nearby so great for dogs. Not many places to get level but was fine for us. There are two ways to access this. It's best to come from the town to the east otherwise you're driving off road if coming from the north (even though google says it's a marked road)
Lovely spot, very quiet, surrounded by nature. We heard owls and pheasants in the evening and saw a few rabbits. Picnic tables and hiking trails.
Good place to stay before or after ferry. flat. 4g. lots of footpaths. quiet.
Beautiful place, no services but charming. I arrived late in the evening in heavy rain and saw rabbits. I stopped, and in the morning what a surprise to see this landscape and a little man taking his morning walk who said hello! Vans and larger vehicles are fine, just beware that larger vehicles may encounter narrow paths at times. Preserve it.
