778 Piste de la Giraude, 06500, Menton
Been here?
Wild spot with 3–4 spaces offering a magnificent view of Menton from a steep, narrow hillside road. Access is difficult and risky—not suitable for large motorhomes, only for agile vans. Terrain is uneven with light nighttime traffic nearby. Very quiet and peaceful; locals are friendly and tolerant. Travelers must pack out all trash; the spot is extremely small and tight.

Quiet place with very little traffic. Magnificent view. Access is suitable only for vans.Translating
Very quiet place with a great view. Access is via a steep, narrow road, but it is excellent for a converted van.Translating
The view is fantastic, but the approach is not for the faint-hearted; you need to have your vehicle well under control. The road is very narrow and steep, with oncoming traffic. In places, there were only a few centimetres between the house wall and other vehicles. Fortunately, we only had a panel van. The parking area is somewhat sloping and rocky. Fine for one night, though.Translating
Incredible view. The access is not difficult, but I would not recommend it for a motorhome; perfect for a van. The residents are indifferent at worst and very friendly at best. More idiots leaving their rubbish half-hidden—well done to them. Otherwise, it is spotless.Translating
No better than the other comments: not very flat, some passing traffic but still fairly quiet. The view is indeed beautiful. More than adequate for one night.Translating
Not very flat, close to the road, great view.
Rather narrow but pleasant place, the view is incredible, a little traffic during the night—about 2 or 3 vehicles—fairly flat and quite quiet for sleeping.Translating
Magnificent view, including the August 15 fireworks. We saved this place as a favorite; very quiet and feels safe. I can't add my photos, but it is splendid. There were only two vehicles, and my neighbors were very friendly.Translating
Spot intended for a maximum of four vehicles; you have to share the space with neighbors who are used to it and tolerant. We did a little cleaning because some travelers tend to leave their rubbish behind. There was none left after us.Translating
Lovely view. Very quiet. Space for 3 small vans. Not suitable for big campers. Reasonably that. Friendly locals. Overall a great spot for a 1 night stopover
we loved staying at this small place. there were only 2 other worker vans parked, but no signs of anything private. when we had dinner and locals passed by with their dogs, they waved and said 'bonsoir'. the view was stunning. the highway does not bother at all to us. must say: the road up is quiet the climb with smaller turns and lots of small areas.
Great spot, magnificent view, and peaceful.Translating
The access is indeed narrow and steep. We had a good night's sleep.Translating
A roadside parking area, closed at the end, leading up to the trails, with space for three vehicles. The road is narrow and winding with several hairpin bends; it is fine for vans, but caravans and larger motorhomes may have difficulty getting there and maneuvering. Beautiful view over the city, peaceful and quiet, almost no traffic or passersby. You can hear the highway, but it is not disturbing enough to affect sleep.Translating
Insider tip, April 2025.Translating
Little space and not level, but the incline is acceptable. Winding, narrow road, but you can get there with a short motorhome. Many tight hairpin bends. Wonderful view of the bay. Slept like a baby.Translating
Car park for locals, and getting there is an uphill slog that just isn't worth it.Translating
Magnificent view. Occasional passing vehicles. The spaces are quite sloped. We saw no police, army, or other nonsense stories.Translating
Place beside a low-traffic road. Spectacular views of Menton. Capacity for 3 or 4 vehicles. We had dinner and spent the night here. A few people passed by during the night.Translating
Spot is quiet enough and OK to spend the night, probably not to do camper life. Regular cars also park there. If you want to visit the town there's a trail a bit ahead (just the next corner) that allows you to walk down to the town. If availability is a problem you can try to go to the end of the road there seemed to be some space there.
For us, it was a pleasant place to sleep. It is not private, but since the few nearby spaces fill up early, please park respectfully. There is room for three small campers. We were there with another van. The local residents are very friendly. At night we saw a few wild boars, so don't leave your rubbish outside the camper.Translating
Nice spot, with a very beautiful view over the hills of Menton. No passing traffic for us. There is some highway noise in the background, but nothing serious.Translating
