16 Ludwigstraße, 72172, Sulz am Neckar
Been here?
This is a free, level, paved motorhome area in a quiet central location beside the river, with a maximum stay of 72 hours. Five electrical spaces are available, although connection number 3 is defective, and the site is mostly sunny and lit. Fresh water is free, while sanitary disposal costs 1€ and requires a hose; there are no toilets or showers on site. A public toilet is about 200 m away, but frequent car traffic can make the area feel busy.

Constant coming and going of cars. It was too hectic for us here. No satellite reception because of the tall trees.
Quiet central location. The infrastructure is showing its age and is apparently due to be renewed soon. Unfortunately, the Blue Grotto is closed. The Hecht restaurant is very good. Good bakery in town.
The location of the site is actually quite okay. Unfortunately, the site itself does not have much to offer. It is a simple paved parking area without marked bays. The town could improve it somewhat.
Super-central motorhome site. Right on the Neckar. Five spaces with electricity; outlet no. 3 is faulty. More parking is nevertheless possible there. Maximum stay 72 hours. The cycle path to Horb is a dream. In Fischingen, a cycle path through the forest leads to Glatt moated castle, 2 km away. The café there has gigantic cakes and ice cream. The Blaue Grotte restaurant in Sulz is recommended. Edeka and the town center are each 15 minutes on foot.
Very nice motorhome site, thank you very much! Electricity works, everything is clean and quiet.
Very pleasant free site. Free drinking water and €1 to empty the toilets. Food shops seven minutes away on foot. Thank you to the municipality for this space.
You park well in a spot by the Neckar next to a small park. Unfortunately, many shops and restaurants in town are closed. We catered from our onboard kitchen. Toilet disposal works, €1. For a free site, there is nothing to complain about.
Quiet and not crowded. Electricity works by the minute, with coins only (check the other sockets, as hours may have remained available from previous travelers). For black-water disposal, it only accepts €1 coins and nothing else, but everything works well. Free drinking water; just turn on the tap. Perfect for one night
Thanks to a tip from a nice fellow traveler, outlet no. 3 is faulty. After inserting €3, it counts down almost by the second from 1.60. Do not insert €1 coins, only 50-cent pieces. Otherwise, the site is ideal for me, as I am cycling the entire Neckar trail.
We had a great night. It is true that it was raining and there were some puddles, but overall it was fine. Flat ground and a quiet place; you can only hear the river in the background. Motorhome services cost €1 each. There are no toilets or showers. A good place to sleep if you want to visit the village or stop during a journey. I recommend it!!
Nice village, nice surroundings. Electricity works, service point is fine. One point deducted because our van is 7.3 meters and it actually just doesn't fit.
A tip: Sulz's Neckar and Children's Festival is one of the most traditional festivals in the town of Sulz am Neckar. It takes place every year on the second-to-last weekend before the Baden-Württemberg summer holidays. The motorhome site is closed during this festival. More information is available on the town's website.
Excellent motorhome site for staying a few days and enjoying this beautiful town and its surroundings! When we arrived last week, the square was closed for two days because of the youth traffic school. We spent a few nights in Oberndorf am Neckar and then drove back to Sulz. Quiet at night and enough activity during the day. Many thanks for the hospitality, Stadt Sulz!
We wanted to spend the night here, but immediately upon arrival a fellow camper threatened that he would play loud music at night and hurled abuse at us when we did not let that stop us from parking normally. Incredible what kind of people there are. We drove on because we did not feel safe there. Otherwise, we would have liked the site and location.
We arrived late in the evening on Friday. It was difficult to tell where the motorhome spaces were on the large parking lot. Everyone was parked randomly. We did not see any electricity hookup and did not need one. The site is fairly level, with a park for walking dogs right there. The toilets were locked in the evening. Quite okay for a free overnight stay.
Central yet quiet location. Directly on the Neckar and next to a park. In summer there is a swimming ladder, so you can swim in the Neckar. Water and waste services are all fine. We will come again.
Very nicely located on the Neckar, and we stayed here very quietly for two nights. Everything you need is within walking distance. There is also an open art project in a hall right next to the site. Very easy to access even with our 10 m motorhome bus. We would happily return.
We arrived in the evening and had a quiet night. Electricity and water/waste services are available, even in December. Nice hiking opportunities, and shopping is also possible.... Thank you to the municipality for this site.
We spent one night here on the way back from Italy. Excellent for free parking with an electricity hookup. We did not use the other services. A bakery for breakfast was easy to reach on foot. The night was exceptionally quiet.
Actually a good site, but it is right next to accommodation for "newly arrived people," whose offspring and producers are well known for behaving badly. Fifty meters away, people were grilling mutton. Shouting and a big feast. No thanks.
Great stopover. The only problem was no satellite reception; otherwise no problems.
Great for one night while passing through! We slept well and ate well at the Hecht inn.
Everything you need is here. A great offering; we will gladly return. Many thanks to the municipality of Sulz am Neckar for its hospitality and excellent service.
Very quiet place beside a flat, wide stream, near the center of a small village with shops. Power outlets and equipment for water and cassette emptying.
Area with all services, level and near the village for visiting. We slept very well and peacefully.
