29 Avenue Henri de Monfreid, 11370, Leucate
Been here?
Level daytime parking beside the water, with a view, many spaces and the beach a 6min walk away. Restaurants and cafés are nearby, and the area is used for windsurfing. Recent reports warn of camper break-ins and fines, so overnight stays are not reliable.

Robbed!!!! We were only at the beach for half an hour and the motorhome was broken into. Valuables, documents, and baby equipment—a carrier and changing bag—were all stolen. At the police station there was already another camper, and the police said theft is rampant and you usually never see anything again.
Free parking, great for windsurfing. Some restaurants and cafés nearby. In the off-season, it is possible to stay overnight. Very quiet.
Absolutely avoid. Even if you are alone, you will get a fine. It is best to avoid all of Leucate. They absolutely do not want campers there.
Lovely spot, especially in the off-season. Sea view, beach at your doorstep, flat ground, public toilets very close, a kitesurfing paradise, and flamingos as company for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Good place for a beach stop and/or windsurfing. With a motorhome you occupy one and a half spaces and part of the pedestrian promenade. Arrive early to find a spot. We went on a Monday and there was a market on Avenue Henri de Monfreid, with good fruit and other products.
