Numerous mostly flat parking areas extend along the road near Modane’s ski and walking lifts, with no overnight restrictions. More spaces continue uphill and around the hill, including some within walking distance of the piste in winter. Shops, a Sherpa, bars and small restaurants are nearby, while the river provides the main nighttime sound.

Quiet, with all shops nearby. We had a very good night's sleep.
Really pleased to find this place. Had a great night’s sleep - just the sound of the river. Not many people staying in the chalets, but saw one bar open when passed in the evening. Had a great hike up the valley to a small lake, dam & fort.
Very good place for a quiet and cool night. There is a Sherpa shop on site for groceries. Nice bars and small restaurants. One remains open year-round from when the resort opens.
Too touristy. Fine for one night.
Very quiet spot toward the edge of the village. Close to houses, but they are not a problem if you remain discreet and respectful. Magnificent view.
