Been here?
Flat parking with views over the old city and bay, a little shade under pine trees, and a short walk to the beach and town. Recent reports indicate that barriers and payment collection are now in place, although the site was still open. Access includes a narrow two-way road with roadworks, but a 6 metre motorhome managed it. The latest reports describe the surroundings as messy.

We slept there on May 10. It was still free. Barriers had been installed and exorbitant prices were ready for the season, but everything was open when we were there. Quiet night, with just a little traffic in the morning.Translating
Large, flat car park for visiting the town, but it is indeed paid. Even though the barrier is raised, some young people came to demand money from us with a parking ticket around 7 p.m.Translating
On 11 May 2026 the barrier is in place, prices are astronomical, and there is rubbish all around.Translating
Free as at 25 April. Did not stay the night but would have no hesitation in doing so. The road down to the beach is narrow two way with roadworks but we managed it in 6 metre long motorhome. The barrier is up to the site and ticket office closed. Just a short walk down to beach and town.
In early April, still open and free. Day parked here and it's just a short walk down to the beach. Perfect spot to park during the day!
In March 2026, all of the car park isopen and not used so is free. Good views over the old city and easy to walk in albeit mostly closed for the season.
There is currently a no-parking sign. Roadworks are being carried out on the adjacent road and this space is being used for storage. I stayed there for half a day without any problems, but it may not be accessible in the next few days. The car park immediately afterward is a better option.Translating
We slept there in early October and it was free.Translating
Quiet and peaceful night. We felt safe, and it is closer to the centre than it seems because there are stairs that shorten the route. Now, in the low season, there is no barrier and it is free.Translating
During the non-peak season, there is no boom gate and no fees and it is possible to park here all day and overnight. It is safe and provides easy access into town and the old town. Note that it gets very busy at night, especially on the weekends and cars park literally everywhere, as do the large tour buses, so park your motorhome safely out of the way.
