A large, paved and level parking area on the outskirts, suitable for self-sufficient vans and motorhomes up to 7.30m. The fee is 7.50€ for 24 hours, and nights are generally quiet, although the area can be busy during the day. The old town, castle and nearby walking routes are accessible on foot. The rear of the parking area has recently been reported as littered and unpleasantly dirty.

Unfortunately, the parking area was very littered. At the far end, some people had left their feces, including toilet paper. The smell was pretty disgusting, and the sight was even worse. So we spent the night right behind the entrance, where it was fine.
Nice little town, beautiful small old town, almost everything closed on Mondays, several restaurants, a good ice cream shop, Aldi and Lidl nearby. Quiet night, we were the only ones in the huge parking lot. Perfectly fine for self-sufficient campers at €7.50.
Spacious parking area, €7.50 fee. Busy during the day, with a very nice annual fair. Only two campers overnight, very quiet. Beautiful walk through the town, sculpture park and forest to the castle. Bavarian food, beer and a pleasant atmosphere in the courtyard.
Perfect, peaceful spot during the week. We were here on Monday: biblical silence, many places closed, but good traditional lunch at Cafe Herpertz, and excellent cake too! Great starting point for sightseeing and hikes in the area.
Great place to spend the night, camper fee €7.50 for 24 hours. Beautiful old town and castle.
Well-located, paved and level parking area for self-sufficient vans or motorhomes up to 7.30 m. The small old town and castle are within walking distance, and the red sandstone hiking trail starts nearby.
The machine is still broken. Display your parking disc, otherwise you will get a ticket!
Nice parking area for one night. Card payment is possible at the machine. A short walk into town for food or to visit the castle. Hiking trails nearby.
Beautiful, quiet parking area where you are almost alone at night; it feels safe. Ten minutes from the center, otherwise no facilities.
Simple, level parking area very close to the beautiful old town. The large trees provide pleasant shade in hot weather. The nearby winding country road, a motorcyclist's paradise, is clearly audible, but it did not really disturb us and we still slept well.
Very quiet place for one night. We could not pay the fee because the machine was broken.
Quiet, well-located pitch. Ideal for hiking. Free because the parking meter was malfunctioning. We spent one night here.
