Been here?
A free motorhome parking area directly beside a lake, with bathing access, a barbecue area, firewood and a volleyball field. A railway line runs immediately behind the site, and passing trains can disturb the otherwise quiet surroundings. The lake and nearby walking opportunities are attractive, but dogs are not allowed at the lake. Access via the other road is somewhat difficult.

Great spot! Everything you need is available.Translating
Good spot for one night, with no services. The one star deducted is for the nearby railway line. Nevertheless, thank you to the municipality for welcoming us free of charge. And for those who absolutely need water and electricity, go to a campsite and leave the motorhome-area spaces free.Translating
Beautiful pitch directly by the lake with swimming access. We did not use the service facilities. The train traffic directly behind the pitch did not bother us.Translating
Nice place next to the beach, with beautiful hiking trails. Quiet and peaceful except when the trains pass. Perfect place for one night.Translating
Google says the site has been discontinued, but that is not true. However, there are no longer any toilets, water, or electricity. Still a very nice place. Lovely swimming area and plenty of parking. Trains rushing past close to the site are the only disturbance.Translating
The last train came at 11 p.m., and the first one was already back at 3 a.m. Earplugs are useless, as even the motorhome vibrates because the trains pass so close on one side. Dogs are not allowed at the beautiful lake. The water hose has been cut and is only one meter long. It is also right next to the latrine. You can stay overnight here in a pinch, but I cannot recommend it.Translating
Very nice place. We could hear the railway, but it did not bother us. Toilet and beach very clean. Thanks to the municipality of Sandhem.Translating
Great for a break. Not suitable for overnight stays because of the adjacent railway tracks, unless you like train noise... Thanks to the municipality :-)Translating
Beautiful spot right at the lake. Spent a night here with one other mobile home. One star less because the public toilet and fresh water were still closed. Otherwise completely quiet and free.
Wonderful place by the lake; we slept peacefully. The children had a great time playing. There is also a toilet building, but it was still closed. We were able to empty our chemical toilet there.Translating
Beautiful at the frozen lake. Thanks to the municipality. Regarding the person who wrote before me: You should be prepared when traveling by motorhome in the off-season or winter. You cannot expect services to be open everywhere!!!! We had a wonderful stay.Translating
We used to love this place because it was the perfect stop all year round, friendly people, nice view, all service. Today after 600km we were expecting to plug our motorhome for the night and relax; but we arrived and discovered electricity was no longer available in the winter… when we need it the most. So well, let’s drive for 150km more. Who needs rest with heating when it’s -5°, after all!
Visited in October and the services are not working - no fresh water, no electricity, no way to dispose the toilet. Apparently everything is closed during winter. The road to get there is narrow but not difficult but at night you hear the trains passing. Must be nice during summer, though
no electricity when we came by. it's also quite close to houses, but okay for one night.
Pretty little free motorhome pitch by the lake. Black-water disposal and two electricity connections available. However, the toilet building cannot be reached by camper, so filling up with fresh water is probably not possible. No grey-water disposal. Closed over winter, though!Translating
Great place directly by the lake. There are 13 spaces in total if everyone parks sensibly, two of them with electricity. Clean toilet building. There is a railway line directly behind it, but we did not notice it at night.Translating
A nice free campsite. Even free electricity for two campers. Through our connector, we supplied a third one with power. Helping each other creates more power points. What we noticed was that many airplanes fly overhead. Otherwise, what a beautiful location, with a swimming beach to enjoy as well.Translating
Really a great motorhome pitch! Unfortunately, there is a very tense situation because there are “only” two electricity connections, which is truly a blessing, among the Germans. The toilet building is very well maintained, and the area by the water with a small sandbox, children's slide, and fire pit is incredibly lovely. Unfortunately, dogs are forbidden there, but allowed in the parking area by the cars.Translating
People of Sandhem: thank you for this wonderful place! Space for many campers, so do not expect peace and quiet. Sometimes a freight train rushes past, but we were not bothered by it at night. There are also day visitors who come to swim in the lake. There are two electricity points. The toilet and water tap at the top of the hill are also very clean! The pizzeria is also recommended. Beautiful walking routes.Translating
Dreamily beautiful swimming lake, amazing toilets on the hill. A very nice place to stay. We stayed one night, as it became quite busy in the morning. Many swimmers, but a really lovely motorhome pitch. With a view of the lake, and if you are hungry for pizza, you can even have one delivered to the pitch. Dogs are not allowed at the swimming lake, but they are allowed on the site. ☺️Translating
Fantastic place by the lake. We stayed one night. There is free electricity and a large, clean toilet. We did not need the electricity, though. The lake is very clear. We would come back here every time!Translating
Pretty little motorhome pitch at the beach, everything very clean and well maintained, and the toilet is amazing. After a 10-minute walk you reach the village, where there is a Swedish supermarket and a recommended pizzeria. Perhaps we were lucky, but the train traffic at night was not a problem.Translating
Very nice, quiet place directly by a small lake; only at night it feels as if the freight trains are driving straight through the camper. It is best to park facing the water and not in the bushes.Translating
Very nice motorhome pitch. You may be able to get through the noisy trains at night with earplugs; in return, the place offers a beautiful view and the cleanest public toilet we have had available so far. Past the toilet toward the boat dock there is a Hollywood swing for relaxing.Translating
A very beautiful, free motorhome pitch with a great view of the lake. Small sandy beach and small playground available. Two free electricity connections and a toilet are available. We would love to come back! Thank you, Sweden.
A great motorhome pitch, but I am still driving on because the Swedish camper next to me greeted me in a totally unfriendly way. He occupied two spaces and complained that I was standing too close to him. Not acceptable!
We initially stood in the second row, then were able to move out to a spot with a view of the lake and electricity. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The lawn was freshly mowed and the bins had been emptied. The toilet and disposal facilities are up the small hill. Yes, the trains run at night, but we still slept well. Thank you for this great pitch.
Actually five stars, if the railway had not served as such a close backdrop. Electricity available, cassette toilet suitable for wheelchair users, disposal, fresh water, and a swimming jetty. Satellite reception! Everything still free of charge.
Nice location with view of lake. All facilities working (no facility for grey disposal) Can become puddled and muddy after rain. Thankyou to this village for providing these facilities and allowing motorhome to stay overnight
The setting is nice and pretty. But accessing the services by vehicle seems complicated to me, and they are among residential houses. You will need some motivation and physical fitness for the black-water disposal. The main drawback: the railway line right next to the parking area. Trains pass during the night. In short, I will not return...
I can only agree with this. A wonderful place to be. Two free electricity connections and a clean toilet building. There is a barbecue area and soft sand by the lake. The view is 10/10. Trains occasionally pass behind the site and are quite loud. The municipality provides the site free of charge. Excellent!!! Thank you for that!
Beautiful, quiet place with good services. Thank you.
Shared parking area with cars, but with enough space for motorhomes in the central area, although the spaces are not well marked. A good option for visiting the village and its train museum.
