This is a simple parking space on the F208 gravel road, surrounded by lava fields. If the parking area cannot be reached, parking is available before the river ford. One night was spent here, although signs indicate the canyon and prohibit campers.

We slept for one night; there is a sign in the car park for the canyon and a sign prohibiting motorhomes.
