Free parking beside Lough Derg, suitable for daytime or overnight parking, with a playground and heated outdoor pool nearby. It is a 10-minute walk into town, where restaurants and bars are available. The car park can be busy and road noise is possible, but it is generally quiet by 21:00.

great place to park for both day and night. very quiet by 9pm. great playground right beside it and a heated outdoor pool open during the summer months. 10 minute walk into town, plenty of restaurants and bars around
Busy car park that is used by many walkers etc. Loud due to road noise. Handy spot for a short walk into town.
Lovely quiet spot. great little park up.
Easy accessible, no height restrictions parking. Fairly quiet overnnight considering how central it is to the town.
Nice quiet spot and walk. we just stopped for a coffee break. no barriers.
Lovely quiet spot. Toilets are closed due to vandalism, but toilets and showers are available over the bridge with waterways cards sold at PJ's fishing shop on the main street for about €8 for 10 units. Short walk to Aldi. No facilities apart from a bin, but it is free. Playground and basketball court nearby. Outdoor swimming pool open during summer: €5.50 for adults and €3 for children.
Stayed here Sunday 05th of February. Great location, for lovely walk into Killaloe. It’s a car park to a walk way not a campervan stopover so be mindful of others. Parking was free. We ate out at Flannigans and Raw. Both were lovely. There were 4 other campervan/ motor homes there. Very safe and road noise was minimal.
The height restriction was open. Overnight stays are prohibited there under the by-laws; see the photo. This also applies to a campervan, even if it is not shown as a symbol. If prosecuted, the minimum fine is €75. If possible, it is therefore better to use another place.
Very practical for one night and for spending the evening at the nearby pub. However, it is very close to the road and therefore quite noisy, especially on a Friday evening.
