2 Station Cottages, YO21 1UX, Egton Bridge
Been here?
The Postgate pub is cosy and welcoming, with very good food and a quiet overnight setting away from trains. Parking is now small, spontaneous stays are not accepted, and large motorhomes are not possible. Permission must be requested in advance, preferably by calling ahead. An alternative car park less than 20 meters away has been used when the pub car park was full.

You cannot stay here anymore. The car park is too small. We parked up the road in another car park, but we were there out of season, in March. The food at the Postgate pub is very good.
It is no longer possible to spontaneously park your camper here. If you want a chance, you must call ahead. Large campers are not possible in any case. The parking area is small. Very friendly people. We had a delicious meal.
Had a great meal at the Postgate. Sunday lunch was fantastic. We rang ahead of time to book in and ask to park up on the carpark on the Saturday prior to sunday lunch. However the carpark is very small and was full with patrons. However the carpark less than 20 meters away was perfect. Flat, quiet with great walks around for the dog. Pub is dog friendly to in the bar.
The Postgate in is a great place to visit for a camper/motorhome stay. The pub itself is really cosy and quaint - they have a lovely beer garden too. Very very good food. The chef is the landlord and he is rather talented. I recommend booking your meal as it gets busy. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Offered us electric hook up for a night and looked after us. Can't fault!
